Good morning manly men

 

I don't usually make a habit of trucking my laundry 1,200 miles, but there's always a first time.

 

Don Henley would be disappointed

 

When we run into that problem, we just ship a box of dirty clothes home.

 

I'm just glad someone understood that reference within so short of time

 

Took me about 7 seconds of scrolling through my mental Rolodex of music knowledge to go from "what the hell is he talking about?" to "ooooohhhh!"

 

I've been on informal strike - not mowing at home just because I didn't want to.

It is cooler today so I thought I would try to raise the drive by from "abandoned" to "poorly maintained".

Personal rule: Always start where the customer will see.

I got the front all trimmed & mowed around the house and.....

I needed this...

 

I just finished trimming, mowing and weed spraying.

It's so much nicer doing that when it's 78 instead of 92.

 

So before it got super dry I put down some fertilizer to perk up my grass thinking it was going to keep raining. We'll, I was wrong and it got super dry which made the grass go dormant. Welp, all the rain kicked the fertilizer in overdrive and the grass/weeds took off (mostly nutsedge). Some of it is almost a foot tall

Guess I gotta mow now

 

I have a vacant lot to my west. Absentee owners. Extreamly overgrown. No building has ever been built on it. City water and sewer .

Side walk is non usable because of tree branches and vines falling onto the walk.

Did my 1.75 mile walk before dinner.

The last leg takes me to this lot.

I was pissed and started removing branches and vines.

Wife asked why I was gone so long?

I told I was just out front clearing vegetation from the neighbors lot.

I wish that lot would come up for sale, id buy it as soon as it was listed.

 

Have you ever made them an offer?
