just a couple of things tbh
Washed both bikes up since it's been awhile since the bolt has had a wash and the klx needed it after being dropped 3 times haha. Also cleaned up my garage and organized it so it's not messy now lol. Now time to mess with that civic again and put the new intake on and then hopefully shuffle the engine in the car.

    Made it home!

    Initial thoughts:
    - the power is amazing, roll on anywhere and go
    - gearing is weird with that much power, though, unless you're really on it it doesn't really matter what gear you're in, to an extent, as long as it isn't being lugged too bad. I didn't touch redline once.
    - Pretty sure I never went WOT, I don't even know if I went past 50%
    - 4.5-6K is pretty buzzy, which unfortunately is where 70mph and 35 mph sit
    - keeping 25mph steady is difficult.. which again is unfortunate because my commute is 25 and 35mph roads
    - I have a 700 mile round trip at the end of this month and I think that'll determine if I keep or flip it
    - Knee position is a little cramped for me, going to see if I can set the pegs lower or get some drop pegs for it
    - sound is amaaaazing, love the sound of an inline 4
    - it is pretty well accessoried, more than I saw in the picture. Nicely integrated heated clothing controller, oil cooler and radiator guards, sliders on the bar ends.. excited to dig in and see what else is in there.

Now I'm off to shuffle around the garage, again, to try and fit it in along with the wife's car and then showerrrr. So many bugs out today.

Right on you made it!!! I think “buzzy” is the only significant dislike. You would think the bike was super smooth. I have heard that buzzy can sometimes mean throttle body sync may be in order or spark plugs? Maybe some heavy bar end weights? Hopefully you figure it out because being completely comfortable is important for a bike like that. Congrats!!

    DAT GREEEN BIKE DOH!

Also... that rack!!! I think I need to do that to take all the 2-wheelers on the next camping trip. I can always drag the landscape trailer... but it don't go too far into the woods...

Nah... just bend it out and cut it off for 2-fingers which is all you need.. If you need new grips... I got you covered... ProTaper pillow tops (green), plus throttle tube and gripglue.

I did a 60 mile shakedown loop on some of the trail connector highways today. KLX quick shifts perfectly and loves to cruise at 65mph. This loop has a ton of good off-road areas but I only had a couple of hours after church and lunch.

After re-routing the fuel lines and replacing the spark plug... and a good-old Italian tune up... I can confidently say the KLX450R is ready for riding season around here. That includes Houston Valley ORA, Pigeon Mountain WRA, Windy Gap ORA, etc.

I'm stoked to have such a badass bike.
