For wheels/tires/lift? 285/75/17 Wildpeaks on Method 316’s +25mm. Peak suspension spacer lift, but I didn’t use their top spacer as it didn’t allow full thread engagement on the top nuts that hold the coilover onto the truck. Made my own shorter spacers.

Yep, looks good, I heard that was a chief complaint with their kit but they claim is enough thread engagement...

This is my first Tacoma. One of the things that stood out most when I looked at them are the wheels set in from the fenders. The 1" spacers will definitely look good !. Any downside to adding wheel spacers to the truck ? What brand did go with ?

Well today I did vinyl on the silver part of the wheels. I will eventually get new wheels but for now I wanted to give this a go as I do not like the silver on the wheels. I tried the pre-cut stuff. After trying one wheel I sent it back. The Oracle 981 vinyl is the best to use as it is thin and VERY STICKY which you need on the wheels. However even just peeling it off the backing on the pre-cut stuff it stretches and it is IMPOSSIBLE to install.

I bought 2' x 7' of Anthracite vinyl from RVinyl. It is a shade lighter than the OE color but it is pretty darn close with the flake in it. This job is not for the faint of heart. It took me about 3 hours to do all 4. It is definitely not perfect and maybe you could get a vinyl pro to do them. This was about $20 and all my time so it was worth it for me.

Think I'm pretty much done with my setup. Just waiting for Yakima to release their fixed point landing pads so I can get some crossbars on my cab. Wheels were a pain, had to swap the studs for longer ones to get a decent level of thread engagement.

Installed the Redline hood struts. 10 min. These folks may do the best instructions in the industry. Not that it is tough but seriously a completely incapable wrench could do this with their instructions.

Greico Toyota. Was around $300 shipped. Managed to scoop one up before Rave cleaned out a lot of the inventory for resell.

I designed both the lightbar bracket and the camera bracket myself. Lightbar brackets I had lasered out of some .105 mild steel and zinc'd, the cam bracket is just made from ABS.

Yes, I removed it. Now that I have the Icon UCA’s in there it *might* fit. Waiting till alignment is done (had to make appointment at dealer) to recheck.

Yeah, I went back and forth with them quite a bit through email about this. While I do appreciate their responsiveness (which is getting rare these days), there is no way someone can convince me that three threads on each nut is safe or a good idea. There is about .375” of available thread on those studs and the spacers are .60” tall.

You are exactly right. The standard in aerospace is at least 2 threads visible past the end of the torqued fastener. If there are not two whole threads there, the installation is rejected. There’s no reason to compromise that standard just because it’s a car instead of a plane. (Notice, for example, the two threads visible at the end of the shock attachment itself in your photo.)

Threads on aerospace fasteners are also rolled and hardened. That generally doesn’t happen on non-aerospace fasteners. That means weaker threads that deteriorate quicker with repeated use. So even more reason not to trust just two of them.

Those bolts are also in tension (as opposed to in shear) and the load is going to be applied suddenly—the OEM top hat fails and the shock suddenly hits that cap with a TON of force applied instantly. There’s no way two threads’ worth of engagement survives that application of sudden force. It’s basically malpractice to tell people that’s okay. I’d never trust this outfit again.
