Also brain tank, lemme ask the group a question here. Will having a spring rate too low for the weight cause cupping of tires or is it purely dampening that causes it?
I was cupping my old ATs and now the new MTs are also cupping...

I guess it's actually feathering? When you run your hand across the tread, it catches the hand like the edges of the tread are sticking up one way. If you drag your hand the other direction, it doesn't catch. this image is pretty close to what I'm feeling.

hmm google says if you run high caster and your toe is out slightly, you'll end up with feathered tires....

Just replaced them. They were bad, and I'm wondering if the tires were hopping around and wore them out as they were very quickly going out over the past couple months before I replaced them. It's all part of my chasing the front end vibration.

 

You can just use a lot of spacers and keep it at factory lift

 

Probably, I still have to replace mine and my kenda's are cupped to shit! Its the last thing on my list to do. Once the wear pattern is set, I've read there isn't much to do to resolve it. I figured I'd fix those balls up and do it right before the next rubber swap... at Yakubs moms house.

 

I'm having new steering rack and control arm Poly bushings put in this week so we'll see if that fixes it.

 

Might also be tire pressure causing the problem

it was funny thou this dude had these tires in the bed and there was a old 90s explorer with two laying down and strapped to the roof but didnt see it till last second and couldnt take a pic!
