I mean it was strong enough to hold together while pulling you out :boink:
yeah and a gasket that may or may not be annoying to clean/ replace

What's up with that pipe though? almost looks like its a press in part onto that little 3 bolt manifold

    That is basically it.

I would definitely have to pull the valve cover and remove the EGR bypass pipe as well.

But fitting my fat hands back there in either case is near impossible. Trust me, I already tried when I did my EGR change. I couldn't even get to the damn bracket holding the EGR bypass pipe. Granted, it would have been easier access if I had removed the valve cover... in my case.

Finally, keep in mind that my apt complex car port is not the best spot to start getting all engine invasive. I do my best to keep low key when working on my truck simply because the last thing I need right now is some damn neighbor complaining about me working on the truck. Plus, people are starting to come up to me and asking to do their brakes? I just simply kindly decline and for obvious reasons of liability, but that is my point... one of these days it will be someone that is an asshat and will complain instead. Been there done that.

Hopefully, some day, I will have my own place to be able to have a bit more freedoms. Also, the slight slant of my car port is just enough to definitely throw off "oil checks" as well, which is why I had finally asked my sister if I could just do my CV axles at her place AND do my gear oil change as well since her place is level ground. The only hard part for me was to drag all of my tools and my cats to her place. My truck was PACKED!!!

At one point, not that it is anyone's business really, but her and I had argued at one point. I felt bad because I'm using HER driveway so I just kept my mouth shut as much as possible even though, quite honestly, it was an argument that she had started that just wasn't necessary. My point being, that is why I F'N HATE asking for help and especially using someone's place!!!

I do as much as I can on my own until all other options are just not there.

It won't be as bad to fit your hand back there if you try what I suggested with unbolting and jacking up the trans. You'd be surprised how much extra room you can make. I've been starting to learn that being lazy and not unbolting things sometimes makes jobs 10 more work than if I just unbolted the random thing.

You said you're in the San Diego area now right? maybe pop onto the San Diego BS thread and see if anyone is doing a mod day anytime soon. Then you can make some new friends, get some help with the project, maybe learn some stuff from other people's projects, and you probably won't have to load up you're tools and all that. I remember back when @eccracer104 used to have some, they were a lot of fun. Its not a big deal when you're all truck people, ends up being just hanging out with friends and getting shit done

You're missing the point though, I don't have a car port big enough to really be doing work like that not to mention the slant of my car port.

In either case, it'll get done. Just unfortunate of that particular part just all of a sudden decided to take a shit after things were just finally doing good.

I'll likely start halting certain things/projects I want to do to the truck because I still want to go for my SCUBA cert. I wanted to get my cert last year and this constant BS happening with the truck lately is killing me. I'll never get my cert if I have to keep concentrating funds to my truck.
