If you gove over 2.5 inches in the front you will have to replace your UCA so you can align it correctly. You will be happy with the 2.5 inches of lift.

    Yippie!!

Cover should be here at the beginning of the week. Finally got a tracking #. Left Indy today.

Be sweet if it somehow arrived tomorrow, we're visiting my parents on Sunday, it shipped to them.

Saturday Morning Update: According to the tracking, my package departed Columbus @ 4:15 am. It's actually going to Howard, Ohio (about 1 hour NE of Cbus). I hate to get to excited but I think it could be delivered today!!!!

I'm going to redo my front Toyota Emblem. Different Color. I got plenty of the stuff I used for my wheels left.

I used to have pics of this size tire when I was running it. The only problem that I had with this is that the 265 75 16 tires look so skinny when you lift the truck. I'll find a picture somewhere and post it.

throw a spacer on the fronts. I know Kate has the spider trax (i think?) on hers and it definitely fills that front out better.

They look skinny because of the tire and brand my truck came stock with those. I have 265/75/16 Goodyear wrangler duratracs and they look great and meaty. Aren't those the stock sized ones in that pic anyway 265/70/16?. You just need a meatier tire and the size is fine.

i agree if you have tires with some meat on them it would fill in better. Also if you get aftermarket tires with 4.5 inch backspacing it would push the tires to hang out past the fenders and would help too.

so i think that i am going to be taking the lift off of my truck. i can't find a good place in town to do the alignment, it frustrating, but i would rather have my new tires last longer and save up for a proper lift using the Total Chaos UCAs.

Have you tried Firestone? I cant really speak for the techs in Louisville, but Firestone's allignment machines and software are pretty new.

no one can get the camber right and i am tired of spending money on it.

thanks for the FYI, i'll check and see if we have a firestone here in town

i do religiously, i haven't even had the lift and new tires on there long enough yet, but the next oil change is in 2200 miles.

Surprised your having a problem with Camber. Camber should be the easier of the 2 to get on the truck, of Camber/Caster.

What happened to the camber? IIRC, lifting would have made the camber more negative (top of the tire tilts more inward).

Is there a problem just getting it back into spec?

    What are you specs post-lift?

I'm a bit worried, if you can't get your camber right, you caster if off also. Camber will effect Caster. Camber is also a bigger tire wearing angle, bad positive or negative camber will chew up some tires fast.

You could do the lifetime alignment at firestone, it's like $150, but when and where ever you want.

i can't find my print out, but if i do i will post the specs. i know that caster is off especially when i go over railroad tracks... the camber, especially on the passenger is noticeably off, noticeable enough that the outer 1/8 inch of the tread is not in contact with the road. i'll take pics tomorrow and post them. if firestone is lifetime then i am going to make an appointment sometime this week. it's close enough to work that i can walk or ride my bike.

    Found this place:

    http://www.jimsplacetoyota.com/

Thinking about making a trip out there to look for a LH Headlight but it is a 2 hour drive. Might be a more worthwhile trip if I was picking up a few more things. Ohh..I get a intermittant wiper stalk too!!

Let me know if you guys are looking for any parts and mayble I'll head that way in a couple weeks. I can always call and check availability before I just drive out there.

I could do something like a trip out there a week before a meet. Pick up some parts and bring them down.
