sounds like an ABS pump delete is in your future! I’m surprised you still have it to be honest

I’m torn. I want to put an air compressor on my truck to air up and down, and I want to add this ABS kill switch, but I only have one button left on my switch pros.

Air compressor is expensive and idk I think I’d have to put it in the bed, probably in the bed cubby. Isn’t there an ARB kit for this?

I could make the abs kill switch on the Holley dash, but I like the idea of all my controls being on the switch pros

I’d rather have a kill switch so I can still have it on the street. AZ drivers suck so much.

I guess I could also just have a manual switch for the compressor at the bed box location. Compressor kit is like $1000. Idk if it’s even worth it for me right now. Maybe in the future.

Forgot to ask you, are you LT? Did the brake lines included with the wilwood kit end up being long enough? I have some super long extended brake lines on the truck right now with a male fitting on the end that goes directly into the caliper, but I’m not certain if the wilwood fitting thread 1/8x27 npt is the same as the stock Toyota caliper. They include an adapter fitting and lines that look like they might be long enough but not positive.

you could do something like this if you wanted:

    https://desertdoesit.com/collection...unt-2005-2021-toyota-tacoma-2003-2021-4runner

but I’d probably just put the switch for the compressor right next to it in the bed somewhere.

Or this is what I did because I was too lazy to find another mounting area and run wires. I put it in a box from harbor freight added a switch on the outside and a quick disconnect at the battery in my bed.

Not LT, but yes.. they come with new, longer lines. I already had longer stainless lines before the kit, but I had to switch them out for the Wilwoods because like you said, they have their own fitting. The lines are long, but idk.. I'd call and see if they have any longer ones. I think they do IIRC.. or maybe the included ones are long enough. I can measure when I get home if needed.

Also for the Killswitch.. just put a simple toggle switch under the dash. More discreet and not advertising the fact you can purposely turn off traction aids in case of anything.

I have my compressor mounted inside the driver bed cubby, a single power wire ran to it from the battery with a 100a breaker at the battery. Grounded on the frame rail where some of the other harnesses ground by the rear bumpstop.
I simply use the switch that is on the compressor I bought.

Added two bottles of water wetter today.

    IMG_3722.jpg

Hard to tell, but we’re right at 40% antifreeze after removing two gallons of the antifreeze and adding two gallons of water. When I added the the waterwetter, I took another gallon out, added the waterwetter, and filled the rest with distilled water so we should be just under 40% antifreeze, which is still like -26* protection.

gonna go drive it a bit and see how it improves.

I also swapped out the interior lights today, they were this super ghetto blue color, ever since I owned the truck. Finally got some normal 6000k white led’s installed.

Damn, wish I'd seen this sooner. The Power Brake X-Line 6 piston aluminum brakes are insane and I could have drop shipped them to you with a tw discount.

    Ah well!

I'd argue the powerbrake are better than wilwood because they are designed specifically for the Tacoma Mc, and their brake pads are awesome, made in japan. They also have cool heat gauges on them.

But the Wildwoods are good too

I’ve got the biggin tundra booster and MC should be alright. I had the same wilwood kit on my Lexus RC back in the day and that kit was nuts on that car. Actually too much. I’d get a low oil pressure light for 1/10 of a second from oil sloshing forward in the pan away from the pickup.

Did a little test rip on the truck, brakes are bedded in and feel great, but man ABS is such a buzzkill offroad, just need to get a kill switch in order. I think I’ve decided to put the kill switch in my switch pros, and just use the rocker that ARB provides with their compressor on the compressor mount itself, when I get around to actually buying it. Money is tight after having to buy brakes unexpectedly.

Pro tip: if you’re working on your truck, don’t ever mention the fact that it’s working well. Because if it hears you, like mine, it will fuck your day up.

Just delete abs altogether, no clue why you'd go through all the effort of trying to keep it?

Does the music playing on the Sony go through the headsets or the truck speakers? Or can you switch the outputs to either/or?
