With the Pro and its bulky seats Toyota might be better off deleting the seat and soft door panels. Design a hard storage area in the back of the cab with room to store a fullsize or + size spare. You could mount your OR jack and tools and maybe OBA.

I would LOVE to have a PRO, and I would absolutely need the backseat for my groceries!

It would be an option. Mounting the spare in the bed would be a better design and keeping the spare outside where it belongs. This wouldn't work on a short bed, but have a side gate on the bed gear tunnel style to acces the spare.

The simplest thing would be to get a flatbed tray that already is equipped with side gates.

The Pro is a nice package, but it's still a Hybrid DCSB with a lift.

Check this out. Some crazy dealer in Tennessee has the new Pro marked up to over $81K. Let the mark up's begin. I did not make this video just sharing it. Totally crazy to ask that kind of $$$ for a mid-size truck.

They will probably get it...this dealer is located in the richest county in TN. It is where all the sports player and movie/tv/music starts live. They were doing 10k+ on every SUV and Hybrid during the covid era and 5K+ for every gas car. I doubt I will ever buy from them but they at least offered to match Beamans price on any instock unit. I also think they are the only Costco Toyota dealer in the Nashville area.

That's nuts, I would ask the salesman does it come with a one gallon pale of Vaseline or the big 5 gallon? For over $81K it had better be the 5 gallon.

Cool springs? Ya they had it at $76k and I told him good luck and he told me it would sell no problem cause of all the rich people and Tacomas for their snobby kids basically. I saved the chat.

Just got my TRD off road, premium upgrade with the upgraded tow package last week. After driving my '08 for 16 years, this is one sweet truck.

Crazy that 35s don’t even look big now on these trucks. Any trimming to fit the bigger tires? Nice build

That could be a blessing and a curse if the transmission can't handle the larger tires.

The Solar Octane trucks always look good.

Very minor trimming of the inner fender liner and rolled the fenders in just a bit behind the tires. Other than that no issues at all. I’ve put about 3500 miles on it with the 35s and other than a little lower mileage (15.8mpg city) there has been no problem or complaints.
