    Nice cool night 2 nights ago, 6-28-2024, at the Frosty Drew observatory in Ninigret Park, Charlestown, RI! The clouds stayed away until almost 12:30AM. Got this shot after most of the Friday night outreach people left, it was quite busy. This was shot with my iphone 15 Pro Max, night mode with tripod and 30 second exposure. I was multi tasking since I had my two scopes there as well imaging in the Bortle 3-4 skies there!

    Milky Way with the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Single 30 second night mode shot with the 2x lens... Not as sharp and clear as with my mirrorless camera, but still not too bad for a phone.

    Mt. Hamilton’s Lick Observatory is one of the oldest in California. Still does amazing things. This article gives you an idea of what it’s like to live and work there. Nice read.

    That's fabulous I new the Aurora was happening but not down in Arizona ( I don't think it made it this far ) .... would love to capture it.
