Is "Ourisman of Richmond" formely McGeorge still a legit site to order from?

Tried making a $400 order from them for a bunch of stuff and got no order #, no confirmation email and my CC was charged 3 times for the same order. Tried to find a number to call on the website and it's actually listed as 1-800000000. Used the "contact us form" and got an email 3 days later saying to use paypal. (Charges have since dropped off)

Read the horror stories from "Toyoata Parts Deals" so trying to stay away from them.

    any other legit alternatives?

Tried my local Bay Area, CA Toyota dealer and they literally doubled charged every single part making my $400 order into a $800 order. Even the yota silicone FIPG 103 was charged at $30 for a tube. Stealerships...

I've ordered from autoparts.serratoyota.com during 25% sale off their already discounted online prices with free shipping offer. They are also great over the phone to help you find the parts you need. 25% off sale is currently happening again now through 8/26.

Can anyone help me with a 4wd question? My son’s girlfriend has a 98 4Runner limited. She just bought it at the end of April. We thought the 4wd worked because when you click the button on the 4wd shifter, the torque is definitely there. The lights do not come on on the dash and we found out that the front driveshaft does not engage. We changed the actuator on the front diff and the relay on the actuator on the transfer case. The truck also has the ABS light on. I’ve read online that some vehicles will shut down certain systems like the 4wd if there is an ABS issue. Does anyone know if that is a possibility on the Toyota? We’ve been told the only other thing it could be is actuator on the transfer case. That’s a big job, so we are trying to find a transfer case that will work. My son contacted someone last week and a buddy of his has the exact 4Runner they are parting out, but since he has asked when they could pull it, the discussion has gone silent on their end. This sucks because this is the girl’s first vehicle and she has had to put quite a bit of money into it.

K-Dub you’ll get a better response if you start a new thread titled with the problem you’re dealing with.

When this has happened to me it's been the main 4wd relay not engaging. I'm not 100% certain on a 98 but on my 97 it's under the passenger kick panel. Just popped the cover off of it and cleaned it and was good to go.

Good chance just pulling the actuator and cleaning it is all it needs. I've had brushes get stuck and not make contact.

    ohhh... what size?
I've been eyeing these as my next set.

Edit: i used my eyes and looked.
    33x10.5x15

That's what I want too. Where did you order them from?

My end goal is to go to a 17 rim from a 15, and do the tundra brake upgrade but still keep the 33x10.5 size I have been running for years.

@turbodb , do you know the weight per tire? I was wondering how they compared weight wise to other 33x10.5's

I’ve heard to get the actuator out of the limited, you have to pull the transfer case. Do you know if that’s true?

I got mine from SimpleTire on eBay (Kenda Klever R/t Kr601 - Lt33x10.50r17), since I couldn't find a place (DiscountTire, SimpleTire, etc.) that stocked/installed them if I bought them directly.

On eBay, install is an add-on option that is paid for ($100) through some nationwide service network called CarAdvise, which was a little clunky, but worked just fine to get them installed at a local Firestone (among a ton of other places). I had some delivery issues, but I chalk that up to FedEx, since, when I called ParishTire, they were fantastic and worked around some schedule issues to get me the tires at a time that was convenient to me.

I forgot to actually weight the tires, but specs I found somewhere (and can't find at the moment) said 60-62lbs each.

IMG_2747.jpgIs this the relay? I opened it up and it looks super clean. What did you use to clean it?

No thats the ABS controller. THe relay is much smaller than that.

These aren't my photos but will give you an idea:

Just pop the black(or could be green) top off and you could see corrosion on it. Just get it off the copper contacts with a wire brush or sand paper.

Also unplug it before you do any of that. It'll be easier to remove the top with it out of the truck. It is a bit of a pain.

I’m not seeing the relay anywhere. I did just find this under the carpet on the driver’s side floor board and the wire lead to these 2 boxes. The wire is totally corroded and just laying under the carpet. Any idea what this could be?
