Nice! I'll have to look at coating my wheels when I get around to the rest of the truck.

O glorious thread owner @Thatbassguy , when you have time can we get post #1 updated?

Also what's the full deets on the Bayfield thingy? I might be able to join but depends on how much carnage is involved since it's the start of a longer road trip for me and I can't break the Taco before it begins.

    OP updated. Regarding Bayfield:

So far, we're planning on going back to Birch Grove and hitting trails up in that area. Birch Grove has no reservable sites, so we'll have to try to get there as early as possible and get a few sites occupied.

Probably a more adventurous trail run Friday, and more of a scenic ride Saturday, guided by @pearing.

I'll be making old fashioneds and/or white Russians as those went well with the cooler weather last fall.

Not sure what's on the agenda for food, but we have the option of going into Bayfield for some whitefish livers, drinks and dinner one day. Once the trip gets closer, I will put up a poll.

I'm not one to normally b*tch about these things but please allow me to vent.
Just got the payment notice for the Waukesha Tap Yard meet up. $7 no biggie. Go to pay it online like one does. Go to the website and hit the pay online button.
This of course hands me off to their payment processor with an atrociously designed website. Makes me create an account because of course I want you to harvest my information in exchange for processing my one time payment. Have to dig through all the "enrollment options" to find the 1x daily pass. Oh then I need to put in the exact date of my park entry which of course isn't anywhere on the notice. Select through a bunch of questions saying yes I am sure of the date, and yes, I am sure it's my plate number before I can put in my payment info.

So much BS. Even paying Illinois tolls is easier. Like sweet Jesus Christ how hard is it to put a 2d code on the notice with the relevant info pre populated and ability to check out as guest.

    @sparkystaco was right all along.

Was just going to post a similar rant! Just got home to my notice!

If you look on the back at the bottom it lists the date and time of the visit...

I see that now. Yeah definitely no need to put that tidbit of info in the big green box with the amount due and my plate number. Grrr..

Well, shit. I thought maybe it was free parking for beeg garden patrons. I didn't even notice any signs. I guess I won't be going back there after all.

It took me about 20 minutes to pay Waukesha County Parks $7

Also received a medical bill today for a doctor visit and such. Took me about 45 seconds to pay $415.

    :annoyed:

IT people… some are good, some are evil… such as the malware attack hitting my Godaddy site today. :annoyed::annoyed::annoyed:

How on earth they were able to change my .htaccess files is beyond my comprehension.

Yup, went through the exact same thing when we went camping there last year.

Funny that my family complained about the drive to Tigerton in July. At least they didn't have to go through all that just to enter the damn place.

Anywho......oil change reminder started right before Tigerton and stayed on the second day there. Just got around to getting that done and taking off the transfer case skid while I was at it.

The exhaust as well as the mini skid that comes factory on the TC were both rubbing on it. Think I might visit @Pixeltim 's shop and have them do the same to mine. It'll get old real quick having to bend everything back into place. You can see the two rubbing spots where it's almost burnt even. No exhaust holes though

    PXL_20240814_230039892.MP.jpg

Then I was super glad I bought the Morimoto valve. First oil change with these skids got messy.

Nice shiny new mess preventer. Not worried about it getting trashed the way these things took a beating last weekend.

I also remembered to do the cabin filter this time... ..oops
