Yeah im happy with it getting.off the ground. Before being behind the bicycle was a pain. Just having to move stuff to get to it was annoying.

It is easier now to pick up too since I don't have to bend over.

Anyone run the Dunlop Mutants and / or heard of anything negative? Tread looks aggressive enough to keep me going on my hardpack excursions while still being plenty road going, compared to something like the Pirelli MT60 RS.

Would need to jump to a 150/60/17 from a 130/70/17 on the rear, diameter is barely different, -0.3%, clearance appears to be there from some other posts around. Front can stay at the 110/70/17, though there is a 120/70/17 that I could consider. Not sure how much the different sizing would affect the balance of the bike on the road, I feel like that unless you're peeling sidewalls on a regular basis, it would be not that noticeable?

never heard of those tbh. i had the dunlop sportmax gpr300s on my super moto and loved them for street and some dirt riding not exactly made for it but it worked! haha.

for the tire sizes i really liked the 150/70/17 i had in the rear of the bike! it would grip really well! now i will say having the 120/70/17 in the front was also great but it was heavy! so it would kinda lean on its own at a certain point but it could have been my fork bearing that was slowly going bad as well lol.

also do make sure you can clear such a large tire! my 150 was the max i could run on the s model swingarm and i still rubbed on my exhaust and a bit on the swingarm until they self clearanced themselves a bit

my one regret with the XSR (besides selling it of course) is that I never got to do the road trip up and down the 1 like I'd always wanted. Aside from the trip itself, I wanted to do it because Corbin was looking for XSRs to design a solo seat for, and I was going to go up there to volunteer mine and make a whole adventure out of it.

Still haven't done that road trip up the 1 but I'm workin on it. I refuse to use saddlebags

for a drz400sm this was my sizes, mine was not a sm mine was the S model so i was limited to my rear swingarm others with the sm swingarms could push a 160 in the back but i couldnt without some good rub!
    upload_2024-8-13_12-58-42.png
so a bit different from the klx300sm! which ive seen in person and they do look cool but man the tires are small! even on my klx300r the rear tire seems a bit skinny!

Thanks, small change for your old bike then. I guess I should consider weight also, might play into it a bit with the smaller engine. Clearance should be OK, I'll measure it out at full bump to be sure before placing an order.

np! ya it was a small change for the old bike and tbh it had the power to push the tires around im not sure if a klx300 would have the same power to push it around and still be as snappy as the oem size? yup best to measure to make sure before buying! i knew mine would fit but would rub a bit here and there so i spaced my muffler a bit further away to stop from rubbing and let it clearance a little on the swingarm then it was fine and i had no issues at all!

IMG_4487.jpg Well this just happened. Went for a 100 mile ride on the 750. When I got home I noticed some fuel on the ground. Thought maybe it was from the over flow. Got out of my leathers and then started thinking about it. Went back down and lifted the tank to look. Didn’t see anything out of place. Threw on my riding jacket and boots for a quick lap around the block to make sure nothing was leaking. Turned the corner and flames jumped out from under the tank. Stopped and jumped off and it was on fire. Called 911 and the fire truck came but it was 5 min and the bike burned to the ground. Crazy!! Had it for less than a week and this shit happens. To make it worse while the fire truck was still there blocking the street and the fire was out ON!Track was delivering a package. I said hey is that for Kevin? He said yes. Came over and it was my grips and rear brake pads for the bike. I also have rear pads, braided brake lines coming. Just had the freaking ECU flashed on Saturday. Hope I don’t get screwed to bad by insurance. I am thinking it’s a total loss.
