Going to take my new Pro to my local PPF Clear Bra installer tomorrow. For those of you who have put some miles on your Tacoma, where is clear bra material needed the most? Don’t want to cover the entire truck…only those areas that are most susceptible to rock chips. Thanks for your input!

Obviously, the front of the rear fenders. I did mine myself. Based on my 2nd and 3rd gens, the plastic parts on the front of the truck do not need it. Thus, I ran a 12" strip on the front of the hood, covered the area around the headlights, and ran 2" strips up the pillars next to the windshield.

I would 100% do the plastic in the front it still chips paint and will look like sh*t with all the touch ups, adding the front isnt gonna run you that much more and offer that protection where literally it gets the most plastered. I would also do the full hood, unless you dont care about the stupid dirty line over time.

I did front bumper, grill surround, headlights/fog lights, lower half of all doors, rear bumper corners, and finally the rear fender but only the strip that is prone to rock chips. Had it done in XPEL within a week of ownership

I put a strip of PPF on the highlighted part. There are a few people where they drove down a gravel road and it absolutely peppered that area. It’s a problem spot because the rear fender sticks out more than it used to. I also plan on running +25 offset wheels too so that is another reason I put PPF there.
