If anyone is interested in preordering our new 4th gen spec, here's your chance for a huge savings.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/stealth-custom-series-tacoma-4th-gen-spec-17x8-5-20mm.839771/

I will use this thread to post all worthwhile 4th gen Tacoma trucks with SCS wheels as people send them in to us. This fall, we will release a size specific fitment for the 4th gen, 17x8.5 +20mm.

This new +20mm fitment will look similar to our -10mm spec when used on the 2nd/3rd gen Tacoma. Our current -10mm size on the 4th gen will be almost equivalent to our -38mm on the 2nd/3rd gen. Unfortunately, the days of running our super deep dish wheels on a 4th gen is over.

Nevertheless, the 17x8.5 -10mm looks SUPER BEEFY on there.

The Ray 10 on the white truck is the new coming fitment?

All 3 of these Tacomas have our 17x8.5 -10mm spec. The new fitment isn't coming until this fall.

    Out of curiosity, why +20?

Is it just to differentiate between the +25 and +35 already out there?

In our opinion, +20mm provides just the right amount of poke that we feel looks and fits the best. As a brand, our wheels specs have always leaned a tad more towards the aggressive side of things. Whenever you see other brands offering 17x8.5 -10mm or 17x9 -38mm, it derived from SCS. This spec wasn't common 13yrs ago, but almost every wheel company offers it now.
We also got some insider information that TRD has plans to offer a +20mm wheel spec as well in the near future

That Solar Octane with the white wheels looks like a "Stomper"- Is anyone here old enough to remember those toys from the 80's?

    Looks totally badass!

It's actually our light gray finish. I do vaguely remember those stomper trucks.

I am not interested in messing with my suspension at this point. I have seen videos of 285/70's fitting with room to spare on the factory trd wheels. Would that be the case using this new offset? Or do I need to be looking at 275/70's?

Depends if you like poke or not. As much as I like SCS wheels, I don’t really like the hassles of rubbing, cutting and lifting.

33s on the stock suspension is doable with a little effort on your end. You might have to trim the bumper a little, tuck the front liner in a little, and remove the crash bar/bracket behind the front wheels.

For some folks, it's best to keep everything stock. Modding isn't for everyone.

I have purchased three different sets of your wheels over the years.

I’m on the same page as you, and feel optimistic about this since seeing a couple of trucks with 285/70 on +25mm offset method wheels with no lift and no reported issues And Should be very similar I think we’re gonna be fine with these +20mm
