Wonder if the bed will shift with the bed bolts loose.

    I'm sure it will.

I by no means believe that every single tacoma was produced without a single flaw.

I do however believe that when this forum gets slow, a new member with 2 or 3 posts ever spots a problem so that we can all fight about it.

I understand your concern and yes I am a new member but have owned 4 tacoma trucks and we’re not talking about the tailgate but where the cab area is

With the new extremely high prices of the new ones I just find this alignment issue
To be unacceptable and gives me caution of stepping down to a 4 cylinder turbo and bad assembly to boot

If any you kids are near this 90703 dealer or maybe a long time member close by, come see just how many have this issue
Here’s just 2 but not going to photo all here on the lot
Zoom out to the cab and see all these beds are shifted to the left

Good news is that they should be fairly easy to center but why they are not doing it at the factory means maybe they are maxed
Out in 1 direction which (speculation) maybe requires a reeming of bed holes but not certainIMG_1745.jpg IMG_1746.jpg IMG_1747.jpg IMG_1748.jpg

Following this thread - mine is off-center by quite a bit as well. Has anyone attempted to get this corrected by Toyota yet?

If it’s out of warranty a breaker bar to the bed bolts loosened up might get it aligned and centered

One truck I noticed had the right rear wheel sticking out more than the left which suggests a parallel
To frame rails movement shift and would most likely need some reeming to all bolt holes but not sure of how much clearance exists

All doable by a competent diyer if out of warranty

Go down to your local dealer and stroll by the beds and tell me how many you count
Maybe other states are different but this one has way more than 2 this way. Not their fault of course.

I think this is an optical illusion due to one side being shaded. No skin in the game, just my opinion.

No it’s not. I have called over each sales person at 3 different dealerships when I was looking over the weekend and they saw it also when I showed them
Photos are one dimensional but in person it stands out in 3d
No one sees it unless it’s pointed out

Test drove one a few days ago. Didn't see any issues like I have seen on the 3rd and 4th gen trucks.

My 2016 tundra limited was like that when I first got it..after hauling 4 wheelers across the country and loading the bed up with what beds are used for it’s fine now..didn’t bother me then and I’ll have to see what my 24 looks like….if I ever get it
