I'm sorry but I think all the rebels are fugly. The gas tanks just look like an afterthought and just stuck on top like a lego.

I just dig the bagger look. I would absolutely love to have an old Silverwing GL650

This is a 500, but they do have 650's(I think 1 year only)

Got to leave the office and go for a ride for a bit running some work errands. Don’t think I mentioned it but I ceramic coated the BMW over the weekend. Turned out pretty well, a couple spots I didn’t buff out perfectly that you can kinda see, mostly on the white parts but a couple spots on the headlight fairing. I wonder if I go back over it again with the kit, would it even it out or not make a difference? Either way I’m happy with it.

Coating is Gtechniq C1 and Exo V5 if anyone was curious. Took most of my Saturday. Apply the C1 first, let it cure for about 6 hours, then did the EXO on top and let it sit for a couple days.

If you look closely you can see where I overlapped onto the frame

I can overlook the shit out of ugly if it does what I want. I mean a KLR aint no raving beauty, but hard to find something that works as well with as much support for so little money. The Rebels kind of fill that role, I dont find them ugly, Just an updated version of the old Ace Tourer, and honestly, it's not far removed from the Monster, XSR or any one of a number of bikes. In the world of fugly, the Rebel got to work hard to catch up to some of them

I think I remember either it being talked about in here or a YT vid.

What I would really like to have is a Johnny Lawrence XR600 from Karate Kid and a GPZ900R Top Gun bike.

But this, this is the bike that did it for me. My neighbor(small town) down the street dated a guy that had one. I was probably 8 and they came by and let me sit on it. Granted, I was already past the 50R and onto on my XR80 I think....but it did it

It may be why I like the "Murica" themed bikes to this day

Honda made both a CX500 turbo and CX650 turbo but never put that in the Silverwing.

The viffer is waaaaaaay cooler than the GPZ. Gear driven cams and V4, not even close

Turbo was a sport bike. They were fucking fast. Mid 11's and 100 horsepower.

Eye of the beholder, I always thought the Duck Monster was homely, and all the new shit that looks like a Transformer toy doesnt do much for me. But again, eye of the beholder, Triumphs and Guzzi's are where my mind is.

I much prefer the looks of the Honda and would take it over the GPZ....but Top Gun..........................come on man  I even had the little bomber jacket and mini ray-bans(yes, real ones....I was spoiled:D) running around elementary school thinking I was Maverick
