It may only be in the higher trims. I have it in my OR with the Premium package.

    Page 445 in the manual.

SR5 with the upgrade package has it, along with the JBL system. I doubt I'll ever need it, but it was bundled in.

The same reason any rear window has one? Mine fogs up in the winter and takes 10 minutes or so for the cabin to warm up to get the fog off.

Random thought, is it realistically possible* to somehow add aftermarket dual zone climate control to the TRD OR? I’m fine with everything the poverty trims lack vs OR Upgrade/Premium, except the only thing I absolutely will not compromise on is dual zone climate control. I’ve fought this battle many times with the girlfriend, any vehicle I purchase absolutely has to have it. Unfortunately since it’s locked behind the premium trim, I just can’t justify purchasing a Tacoma right now. If there’s a possibility of adding it aftermarket I’d accept that, but a quick search unsurprisingly brought back nothing.

*yes I am aware that by spending enough money anything is possible, but let’s say there’s a hypothetical budget of $1500 all in.

This is one of my big gripes with the the new truck. Toyota took what was a standard feature on all v6 trucks and moved it to an almost 9k upgrade package.

I have found that other manufacturers do it better and cheaper. I have never even heard of an aftermarket way of doing DZ CC.

Today i had an oppurtunity to drive a 2024,, after i drove it every apprehension was gone. The model was a trd offroad, with the premium package added, im coming from my 2014 4 runner and it will be getting traded for a new taco,im not going to get in details i know if people drive it they will buy it. Question i have , how is the front suspension different in the trd offroad compared to the sport model read vehicle description and details and its like toyota trys to confuse by having this extra option or that…can sombody break the difference down in simple terms? With the sport im aware of 18” Wheels and hood scoop. Then things get vague to me , Thank you

They way I have seen it explained is you will feel every bump on the road in the sport and not so much in the OR. So if you have roads torn up in the winter that are not fixed for 2 years then a sport will suck.

Toyota just needs to simplify the trims. We've got the pothole edition and the runway edition.

I was the same exact way, did you happen to drive the hybrid? And the best way I can explain the suspension difference because I drove them side-by-side also and after three sports, I am now going to an off-road also, the best way I can explain it,
is as the driver stay, you stay stationary and neutral and the suspension floats underneath you without you moving around a lot as the driver and in an off-road,
absorbing streets, bad roads and off-road alike whereas as in the sport, it is a much stiffer suspension so you feel every nook and cranny you hit. It was a night and day difference for me also.
Does that help as an exclamation?

Im sorry i neglected to answer your other question, it wasnt a Hybrid,im also hoping to get one of these…..
As far as this guys truck, he bought it on memorial day weekend, he has 12,000 plus miles on it and flawless. Its an automatic, he was unaware of any of the transmision issues or any other shortcomings that we read about everyday here, his truck before this taco was a dodge ram/w a cummins diesel motor, said he lost confidence in the truck and didnt want another dodge, because a co-worker of his had traded his tacoma/w 320,000 miles for a new taco and he fell in love with it after seeing it….

Sounds like that guy made a really great choice and a really great decision to move to a better consumer conscious vehicle, and I am definitely going with the hybrid myself

I’m having a little gas gauge glitch. I was in between 3/4ths and full. Had 229 DTE. Got into the truck drove about 2 miles then my gas gauge showed full and my DTE went to 246. Someone mentioned page 90 of the manual. Has anyone else encountered this?

Did you happen to park with your truck nose up?

In my driveway like usual. Some people said put it in drive shut it off then shift to park and it’ll fix. Or page 90 in the manual. Just curious to see if anyone else had a similar experience

There's a known bug in the gas gauge (dating from the new Tundra introduction as I understand it). Supposedly triggered by parking on a slant or filling up an almost-full fuel tank. I've seen the almost-full behavior but not the other and yours sounds somewhat different. "Fix" is to reset the instrument cluster by holding down the "ok" button and turning the truck on (but not starting it). Hold the button until the odometer stops flashing.

Thank you that’s exactly the solution I was looking for. I’ll mention it to the dealer when I go in for an oil change. Also another thing I found weird is I got gas like 3 days ago. So it’s a little odd it took a few days to glitch out

It worked. Thank you. Although now it says I have 3/4th. I had in between 3/4th and full this afternoon before it glitched out lol
