I think it was 2 years ago, have to go through my pictures and look. I attended a vintage Japanese motorcycle show not too far from me and entered my CB400F. Entered in the show were all 5 of the Japanese turbo bikes, Honda CX500 turbo, Honda CX650 turbo, Kawasaki GPZ750 turbo, Suzuki VN85 turbo, and Yamaha Seca 650 turbo. All 5 were owned by the same guy and while all were entered in the show they were each labeled "do not judge". I happened to know one of the judges, he's helped me with the CB400F, and he pointed out the owner to me. All 5 of these bikes were crazy low mileage and in showroom condition or better. The highest mileage was the Suzuki with 342 original kilometers on it the GPZ750 had 41 miles, and the CX650 he bought off bring a trailer the year before still in crate!

Owner was an older gent in bib overalls and I approached him to talk bikes. He said it would be unfair to owners like me for his bikes to be judged with bikes like mine that were ridden in. He hoped to get his to The Quail and show them there. Very nonchalantly he told me he had "done well" for himself and that money was "no object". As a younger man when these bikes were introduced he lusted after them so now that he could afford to he'd searched out the lowest mileage original examples left and bought them. Each bike was carefully stripped to the frame and gone through. The GPZ750 had some rust on the muffler weep holes so he located a set of NOS mufflers in Germany and flew over to pick them up for $3000 for the pair!

All 5 ran and he had paint matched, period full face helmets for each bike. They were only started and run into an enclosed trailer and out to the show field.

The insurance claim guy called my wife (she is on a girls trip for her birthday) and asked her a bunch of questions. When did your husband buy the bike? How did I let her know that the bike was burned or on fire ect. Did I text or call? When did she see it last? What condition was it in the last time she saw it? Was it dented or wrecked? Crazy insulting question like I did something wrong.
There must be a lot of fraud?? I am glad I took a couple pics when I got home with it after buying it so I have some proof it was in nice condition.

There is tons of fraud, especially around motorcycles. Guy buys new bike, takes to track, crashes (not covered at racetrack), throws bike in ditch/fire/stolen/etc, makes a claim. You look awfully suspicious when looking at the bare bones facts. Plus you buy and sell often, lots of new policies, canceled policies, etc. They have you on their radar and are doing due diligence

I guess that is true. Not really thinking of it from their side like that. Although this is my first ever claim on my motorcycle policy in over 30 years. Actually NEVER have had a claim on a motorcycle.

Went through the same ringer with my car. Only claim I ever had and I had pictures of deer fuzz in the headlight from minutes before it caught fire

Loaded my bike on the carrier this afternoon for a test drive.

It did work, just not sure if its worth the possible wear/tear compared to the trailer. :notsure: lot of weight on the back of this hitch. Wrx hitch was definitely better.

Yea. He owned Ducati Seattle for years. Definitely a preference for cool Italian bikes and other uncommon bikes. He built a cool dealership, consignment bike sales and also consignment gear sales. Some great mechanics, and a big location in Seattle, not tied to any one brand.

Seattle has a huge motorcycle community, which is odd cause it takes so long to get anywhere worth riding from Seattle

Mustang saddles are pretty comfortable. Expensive and to me, just slightly uncomfortable, but after 6 hours of tank to tank, it never got more than slightly uncomfortable, which says a lot. I have had some that felt heavenly for 30 minutes and had you in agony at 31 minutes.

No offense intended, but in regards to the fender and fairing, it's because your bike is a toy to you and not a tool. Nothing like looking out of your motel room 6:30 on a grey, raining 45 degree morning and realizing you got 500 miles to your next stop and the weather man is saying it's worse where you are headed to align your priorities.

Probably depends on the saddle model, mine, the passenger saddle was substantially wider and stiffer.

here is the thing and i dont care if it does offend someone lol a motorcycle is a toy. it is something that nobody truly needs it is a want and something we all enjoy it is a powersport.... the fairing has legit nothing to do with that... it has to do with it looks like shit on the bike and doesnt flow with the bike... i also do not care to ride a bike that far im pretty sure thats been stated multiple times by me lol. i will load a bike up in a trailer and drive to the destination vs riding 8 hours to it. i personally love to ride and ride a lot and have been using mine as a daily for awhile now (unless it rains then it stays home) but even i have a limit to this is no longer fun anymore... id much rather take my truck to lets say colorado and unload my bike ride around and when its time to go home and im worn out and tired from riding around i can load it up in my trailer hop in my truck and set my cruise and go home... is it neat that some of you all do the long rides yes it is but i dont find my self wanting to do that tbh... maybe a few hour trip but thats about it.

cant see the image but the passenger one is wider and a bit taller but it doesnt cup the butt lol like we are looking for her. its still more of a large pad looking thing. im sure it would work but for how long? i do want her to be comfortable on the bike and not hurting so its held as a possible option while we look around.

Your on the wrong bike then. LOL There is not much real estate on the Bolt for a big saddle. On the Honda in the photo, my wife would not ride the stock saddle after the first time. The Mustang we took a number of trips on. The foam is much stiffer, and the edges dont break down. On the original saddle of mine, it was comfortable for a half hour, then you found yourself basically sitting on the seat pan.

not on the wrong bike... we both like the bike a lot, there is different seats out there that are wider then the mustang brand so we are still looking at seats and looking on forums to see what people run.

Difference in perspective, my bike is not a toy any more than a hammer is a toy. If you see my bike on a trailer, it's either broke down or stolen.

In my late 20's, I didnt own, or even want a vehicle with 4 wheels, I did have 2 motorcycles.
