Really making me debate on selling my black ones now. Can't post a TRD in an SR5 thread. Wouldn't want to upset the locals.

Got a new TRD grill, some Rokblokz mudflaps, Amazon-clone TRD skid, bed stiffeners, and new roof trim going on my truck soon. Thinking about waiting to install everything till August when the ARE topper gets painted so I can have the satisfaction of a full refresh but damn I’m impatient.

I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed a vehicle more than my ‘23 SR. $200 in “mods” plus a set of Duratracs and a cheap aluminum cap. Saddle Man seat covers are the only interior changes. Incredible truck for the price. I was going to get rims, but I decided to keep the steelies. Since so few people keep them, they really stand out with the RWL tires. IMG_4342.jpg

My interpretation of a V6 4x4 SR. 2 years and 30K miles. Crazy how just a few choice upgrades can transform these trucks. Bilstein 5100s on 4th clip with AAL, 4Runner Pro wheels with 265/70/17 BFG ko2s, used sport fender flares, used ARE Topper, and a TRD Faux grill.

Wassup y’all. My 2021 SR utility package. 2.7 2wd. Cheapest I could get brand new. Seen here with the new wheels and tires I got dialed in today.

Thank you! It’s heavy but so far not too much of an issue. I’m always the fella in the right lane cruising about 65 anyways. No huge hit in MPG yet. I love the look too much to change it anyways haha

What are the bed stiffeners mentioned in post #8025, is there something weak with the beds in the gen3?

Because the Tacoma's use a polycarbonate bed, it makes the bed sides a little more flexible when you mount a shell/rack/tent etc and go off roading.

If you dont have any major weight mounted to the sides or dont do any really aggressive driving, you dont need to add them.

I had a shell and was fine until a spirited bit of driving in the rain on a fire road and I noticed the gap had become irregular, so I bought some and it fixed it up.

They have the added benefit of adding tie down points for utility.

Does the utility package have intermittent wipers? The last I knew they were deleted with the package along with the painted bumper covers. In 2009, the base model access cab also did not have them. I did not notice on the test drive.
They do have a lot of space behind the front seats if you never need to carry anyone back there. The flip down seats with the straight back are not comfortable anyway and you can fit more stuff back there without them. There are some vendors selling toolboxes, etc made to fit depending on your needs.

    Good luck with it!
