Here you go, @Calamity_taco. Plenty of padding for your pillion, green, and a sleek minimalist fairing! LOOK at the heigh of the pillion perch! Might change your mind about high mileage days! LOL

(currently for sale, if this scratches anyone's itch)

god no haha i could never ride that! might as well start yelling at people to get off my lawn if i ride something like that haha.

atm we are looking at the z1r double bucket touring seat with the extra padded top or the mustang touring combo.

    this is the z1r
    [IMG]
this is just the standard without the pillow top. a lot on the forums have said they are good for distance and can be a bit stiff but are way better then the oem seats. the rear is wider and has a slight cup to it but not much lol. only down side to the passenger seat is its not taller its about the same height as the current one is now. which has issues since her knees are at a bit of an awkward area sitting. ive looked into lowered pegs but then she is to close to the exhaust so still looking around!

and this is a really bad image but its the mustang touring seats
    images_477130ce7d3e49c5fe2275dfdfdd5c3ca85573a1.jpg
the mustang has a lot more padding on it which also helps raise her up a bit more so she has less knee pain. (the oem seats are blown out so we sit lower lol) the only thing truly stopping me is the driver seat for me it looks very bulky where i might not find it comfy?

honest to goodness I was just sharing this because of the seat. But here are the details. Another era, and a creampuff of a bike. Owned by one of my close friends, an older couple not very tech savvy. The bike belongs to a woman named Mary. 70 yrs old. 120 pounds. Rode it to Oregon from Indiana 3 years ago (and back!)

Getting a bit big for her to move around. They found her a faired V65 and she's pretty excited about it. Allows this one to move on to it's new home.

all top notch, VERY hard to source components (bub exhaust and Dave Brown bags are highly sought after in the vintage Guzzi universe):
    1984 Cal II

    Description*:

949cc Engine with Dellorto 30mm carbs, Dave Brown bags DB Rail set up, Russel Day long seat, Swanee fairing, Bub header, Ramflow mufflers, Dyna ignition, 92k miles, lowered, lower frame rails for pegs, not boards. appropriate rails for boards are available. Custom Forest Green professional paint job in 2018

This is Mary on her 'new' 40 year old motorcycle, which she will ride all over the midwest on. One of my favorite people.

Yeah I'm in the it's a toy camp now. I love riding but not the long distance anymore. When I had my goldwing 600 mile days where the norm for me. I'm aging now and my body just can't take it, we all age differently. But I love to jump on my bonneville and do a 100 or 2. It does bring me joy.

Send your stock seats to this guy.

    https://www.laamseats.com/

For not too much more than you're going to spend for a new Corbin, Mustang, Sargent, or Saddleman you can have a true custom seat made for your body weight, inseam length, etc. She wants to sit up higher and relieve some of the bend in her knees he can make that happen. Seriously about the best money I've ever spent on a motorcycle. Doesn't matter if you don't plan on riding long distance his work will make even a trip to the store more comfortable.

Worth noting, there probably arent a dozen of these bikes available in the country at this point. Can't be picky on color. Find what you can.

They're sourcing bits from all over. color match isn't perfect. Once it's all there, all the 'tin' will go out for a proper paint job. Should look pretty nice when done.

She and her husband had their first date on a 1968 Ambassador in 1972. Been together ever since, always owned multiple bikes. Every single one a Moto Guzzi. 76 and 70 years old. Currently 4 bikes in the garage.

Having a spare set of OEM seats is rarely a bad idea. I left a friend borrow a set from me for his FJR so he could keep on riding while Seth Laam was building his custom seat. @FreshOldTaco had him do a seat for his KTM though I'm not sure how much use it's seen just yet. He didn't have it broken in yet when we did our IBA ride in May.
