Although I have two bikes, is there a thread for ATV’s? Not a “quad”. I don’t have much to talk about or skill to keep up with you young guys discussing motorcycles. Thank you. Picking up a Polaris Sportsman 570 EPS next week.

I just recently came across this trailer. It looks awesome, and could potentially carry 2 bikes.

    https://intech.com/rv/models/flyer/explore/

Theres a used one near me for $10k. If only I had more room for a trailer!

I can’t ride far now with my current stable, too small of tanks until needing fuel. A Yamaha MT-07(hyper naked) and a HD Sportster 48 which I foolishly bought over a year ago. Experienced rider, but not a skilled rider. I turn 71 later in Sept. A friend I used to ride with moved, we had done a few trips to the California coast, camping one or two nights each trip. Passing thru wine country and even as far north as the Oregon border, hitting the NW corner of California. Just gets so hot in the valley when traveling to and fro.
My last bikes were a KLR650 and a CBR600. Have had bikes off and on since around ‘73.

it's a dream of mine to ride in that part of the country. Got to travel through there a bit, by Van (kids here won't know what that is) back in the 80's. The forests of NoCal are unlike anywhere else. I envy you!

Welcome aboard Duane. I'm just happy to NOT be the most senior over here anymore. 61 but refuse to accept that fact. I spent 16 years working part time for a HD dealership and have ridden quite a variety of bikes through the years. If I could get away with it I wouldn't even own anything with 4 wheels.

I brought that same bike back to life about 10 years ago. The only mod it had was a Kerker full 4 into 2 exhaust. By far the best VFR Honda ever made.

I have my hf trailer that works well. My only complaint is it's stored in the backyard which means dragging it down to the street to get it out or using the truck to put it away. Just a chore for a day of riding.

The rack is nice for quick/easy access without any downsides other than now possibly causing wear/tear on the hitch for the golf.

Suppose i cant have my cake and it eat it too with this car. Like the car for everything other than it doesnt fit the rack the best. Random thoughts of going to try to trade it in on something like a ford explorer st or durango r/t but not sure if id enjoy those as much when im not hauling..

That trailer is stupid expensive. 20k no thanks, lol. I'd rather build out an enclosed.

Really? Well, I won't flame you, but...

    It's called Magnum Force

If youre an American and have testicles it's kind of required. Let alone its one of the great Motorcycle chase scenes of all time, and they ride Guzzi's for the entire film (until the bike jumps off the boat...that was a Triumph)

In those days, Moto Guzzi was the official bike for the California Highway Patrol. They outsold Harley Davidson in 1973. This movie helped bring some attention to them.

    "Go ahead, make my day"

    and this classic...

Uh uh. I know what you're thinking. "Did he fire six shots or only five?" Well to tell you the truth in all this excitement I kinda lost track myself. But being this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world and would blow your head clean off, you've gotta ask yourself one question: "Do I feel lucky?" Well, do ya, punk?

Calling someone a punk was changed forever.

Come on man. Movie night with the girl. A little ol' school American culture for you. Helped Eastwood attain cult/superstar status.

What was the tongue rating on the R, surely the bike and rack is over the limit?

I sold my dirt bike to pay the Sportster off last year after a month. The ATV will extend the dirt season, being able to ride earlier in the season, around or over snow that the dirt bike couldn’t do. Plus, helping around my acre, moving firewood and my log splitter, saving my back. Got so I was only taking my dirt bike out a couple times a year.
I worked for Harley-Davidson Financial Services for over 11 years.
