I can't recall when the lighters faded out of vehicles.
My '01 taco had an ashtray and lighter.

Any of you guys have a water leak at the dash? Mine has always had a very minor drip-like a silver dollar sized spot in the floor mat in a BIG rain. Today driving back from the Keweenaw it poured and flooded the driver side foot well. Know there are lots of pages on this hoping for first hand knowledge. Strange that it just started...

No leaks for me, sorry. I vaguely recall reading about some cowls warping and not sealing and sometimes causing leaks. Could be from holes in the firewall if you cut any new ones for electrical gadgetry. Could be from not cleaning all the debris from the drainage channels in the cowl and on the fender sides. Or possibly because you don't have fender liners any more and it's just more exposed? No idea, you'll probably have to do some testing with the hose for intrusion when you get home.

This is what my road looked like 4 weeks ago. It was pretty bumpy and that kept speeds down a 'lil bit. Some nights kids would fly over the hills @LarryDangerfield style. They would actually get the wheels off the ground. Had to go 80+ to do it, but with the road falling apart nobody has done it for over 5 years. I went to a couple of town meetings to not have the road redone. They did manage to put it off for 2 years. The bikers are gonna love it.

I think it'd be cool to get one of those Radar Speed Limit trailer thingy's the cops use.

No extraneous holes in fire wall. I DO have fender liners (had you a better employer and we had gotten some time together in Tigerton you would know that fact.) New fenders cause this? Not sure how...

So that should narrow it down to something you did when you put the fenders on.

Did you do anything to the firewall?

Did you bump or pinch the weatherstrip where the windshield & fender meet?

If your public works/ police department is anything like ours... You could literally just drive on the lot and take one and they wouldn't notice.

Took the cowel apart. Nothing odd dumped 20 gallons or so both sides and center no intrusion. Put the panel back on. 10 gallons. Nothing. WTF? Like my wiring ghost…
