You didnt have to add an extension? Here is mine...the arrow is showing the extension. EDIT....I now see you did do this. There isnt enough adjustment there to fix your issue
    53421573300_86849171f6_o.jpg

But more is coming to me now. I had the SOS performance setup that had that rod extension that went into the master cylinder. I had to machine it down to get the right length to work with the Tundra booster. Without that rod, when pushing the pedal down it didnt reach the master cylinder. That rod at its original length had the master cylinder engaged...pretty much what you are seeing with yours right now. So removing the master cylinder and shortening that rod should fix your issue.....if I'm seeing and reading your post correctly. I also have the sequioa master cylinder that came with the SOS kit which seems to be different than the actaul tundra MC....so that may change things some depending on what MC you have installed.

Well I took the jam nut closest to the booster off, put some loctite on, and put the extension back on, then jam nut then clevis. Torqued the fuck out of the extension to the booster rod.

when I reinstalled, I actually had to push the pedal slightly to get the pin hole to line up, maybe 1/8”? So I think we’re in good shape now?

I can’t tell if this is flush or not. There’s no resistance on it and I can push it flat, it just sits at an angle.

On the right track for sure. Hopefully this solves the issue.

Got my new mc in. Started to bleed the brakes before I remembered that I had crown brake lines on the way for tomorrow delivery. So I guess the truck sits for tonight. New windshield gets put in tomorrow so it’s gonna get parked nose towards the street so this guy can do his thing. When I’m off work I’ll throw the brake hoses in; rebleed, and test drive. I wish this issue wasn’t intermittent so I wouldn’t *think* the issue is fixed.

I swear dude I’m so over this truck. Everything fights me. Maybe I’m just irrationally mad because it’s hot outside.

The heat can't be helping. It's been a huge project...the final steps and fine tuning are always challenging when you're at that fatigue point after so much work and the ups and down of progress and setbacks...that's why people dump 3/4 completed projects for much less $ than they have into them.

Yeah I commonly see 150k+ trucks dumped the second they get done being built, and now I see why.

Seriously thankful for all you guys on here. You guys made this truck happen and keep me going to get it done. If it weren’t for some of you, I wouldn’t have a working truck at all.

The knowledgeable members that have jumped in to help along the way are pretty rad and it's cool to see the community support. That along with the speed you've moved to get to the point you're at now has made this one of the best build threads I've seen here in a long time.

There are some crazy knowledgeable people on here, and I’m glad I started this when I did, mainly because of the people that have been active here for the last 2ish years that I’ve been dealing with LS swapping and LT’ing, turning me from an NPC to an all things Offroad enjoyer. I’ve asked 5 million stupid questions and got 5 million educated answers, which is pretty rare on the internet

If you're pretty good with CAD (cardboard aided design), I'm willing to bet @Kwikvette could make something for you. He seems to really excel in these random 1-off metal work requests. Idk how feasible a full steel grille replacement would be, but I'm sure he could dream up a solid way to reinforce/replace those tabs with metal with some sort of "cage" to capture the other grille mounting points. This is completely out of my realm though, so no idea what I'm talking about. Just recommending him for solid and proven metal fab projects around here.

I went through this last summer trying to figure out how to put a different engine in the truck situation. I've been on pause with the truck for a while as I now have a house to modify instead.
Overall dude, you've crushed the build and left a path of how to put a LS into a Tacoma.

Can't wait for the day I move out of phoenix.

I have a deal with my wife where whatever I spend on the truck I have to put some into the house too. She's excited for her upgrades

I added metal brackets to an aftermarket grill for the same reason.

I grew up near Prescott.. then moved down here almost 20 years ago for work. Definitely miss it and the cooler climate. My wife and I are both from small rural towns in Az and are pretty much tired of the heat. Work is the only thing keeping us here in the valley..
