I really hope the appearance turns away alot of people that I have a better chance of finding one for a reasonable price

Don't worry, that interior would scare off the devil himself so you're gonna be fine.

Lol, outside of the echo chamber of 2nd-3rd gen owners on TacomaWorld hating the look. You’ll have a hard time getting this truck for a reasonable price if you dontt place a deposit down for one. Best looking truck in its segment.

anyone notice the wheels on the trd offroad seem undersized and sit too far inside those plastic fenderflares? the trd pro and trailhunter look much better. Ill have to see a gen4 offroad in person though.

I actually bought a 2019 Ranger instead of a Tacoma Limited because I hated the interior, seating position, and it felt like it couldn't get out of it's own way unless I floored it. This truck looks much better. I like the interior, except for that stupid "TACOMA" over the glove box. I'm sure that whole section is just in there with clips and there will be 3rd party alternatives. I personally wouldn't buy a car with a small screen anymore. Can't wait to get mine. My build date is 2/5 so I'm hoping by the beginning of March.

The interior is one of the ugliest I've ever seen. The seats look horrible and have a complete lack of customization as far as material and colors. The dash is all hard plastic. I think I'll probably skip this one...

It’s better than the 2015 interior.

Is it really though? That's going to be subjective. I don't think the Gen 2 had a nice interior by any means, but I don't see this as much of an improvement. I prefer the solid grey fake leather seats in my 2015. I have an Alpine head unit in place of the original headunit, which looks pretty good. I prefer the integrated look vs the Tesla look in the new 2024 model. The screen looks like a complete afterthought. What's up with the big "TACOMA" above the glovebox? Why the hell is there a passenger grab handle on the non-offroad models? Does anyone really want a removeable bluetooth speaker mounted in their dash? There's absolutely no room in the backseat. The whole shape of the dash just looks strange and cheap.

I'm sorry, but this is not nice:

I'm not sure exactly what you guys have in USA, but in Canada if we choose the TRD Sport or Offroad "Premium" model, we have to get the black SofTex seats with black interior (as shown above).

Have you seen the interior of the new Canyon? This is the Denali trim, but even their lower trims are significantly nicer than the Tacoma.

I had a 2015 Sport Tacoma. That interior is ancient. I’m going to the car show next month. I hope to see all of the 2024’s in person.

I'm not a GM guy at all. The Denali does look nice inside, but there are just too many things that kill it for me. There is NO inside storage. Seats down even fold down. Also, what's with no Front parking sensors? Are they necessary? Probably not, but I'm used to them and want them. Plus, it's a GM. There were a few other first world problems I didn't like either and I like the massive screen. I'm going Tacoma this time because I don't want problems. I hope Toyota lives up to its reputation.

I have been waiting for the 4G for a while now. Everyone here in Kauai has them now. Im not sure it will ever be able to hold a 6 inch left and 35s with those wheel wells? But looking at one up close yesterday witha 3 inch lift....i have to say i think its ugly as hell.

Its like when Ford redid the explorer sport back in the early 2000s....they went overboard with the lines and plastic molding. The new 4G Taco is just so damn busy with little cuts and lines in the body. It just looks so damn plastic to me. Oh well ill have to stick with my 2G for many more years. lol

I guess everyone has their own style. I think the 2nd and 3rd Gens just look old. Love my 4th Gen. As for Wheels and Tires, you only need a 2 1/2 inch lift for 35's. NO CUTTING. You can put 33's on a stock truck with no modifications or lift at all. And on top of all that, it's not a dog when you hit the gas. Enjoy your 2nd Gen. It's a great truck, just long in the tooth.

The cartoon design is just to distract you from the recalls on transmissions and rear brakes.

Rear brakes? That's a new one :). Of course, there aren't any transmission recalls. I know a few (stressing few) have had bad transmissions, but Toyota took care of them. 2nd Gen had the frames rot out from underneath them, 3rd Gens just got recalled for debris in the rear diff... Toyota backed their products. All cars have some issues. The important thing is how the company treats you when they do.
