So we have been selling our Dashtop Multi-Mount (DMM) basically since the begining of time, but as we were working on 5th gen 4runner DMM and the 4th gen taco's DMM, I thought I might upgrade our 3rd gen Taco DMM to billet aluminum since we've been doing so much billet stuff lately.

But... if it ain't broke don't fix it.
So, is it broke? If you've used our DMM or any other dash mount system in the past, what did you like about it? what didn't you like? what do you wish it had? I'd love to have a billet DMM for the 3rd gens but I don't want to make it billet just to make it billet, I want to make sure there is a purpose behind that, especially since it would probably make it more expensive.

Possible pros to update DMM to Billet:
    1. Looks (currently DMM is invisible)
    2. Ease of installation
    3. ???

    Cons:
    1. Price

I don’t think there’s much to improve. I really like mine.

If anything I’d make the black coating more durable or offer different colors, the color on mine chipped super easy and I ended up wrapping it black again. Not a big deal since you can’t really see it I guess.

I would also maybe improve the ball joint connector thing, the rubber coating or whatever on those peeled off super easy and it simply looks cheap compared the the mount itself. I used trackform balls for the same price that look much better and are way more durable since they’re fully metal

Thank you, I'll see what we can do about the powdercoat, as far as the ball mounts... we're going to start transitioning to in-house made billet ball mounts, and im not sure when you bought the DMM but the arms are already our own billet arms. which is also part of the reason I thought about just doing the DMM itself in machined billet now...
