Truck looks more like a PRO than OR ? Curious about stage 1 for my PRO.

If you're running stock shocks and coilovers, they probably won't work for you. Unless you're running a spacer lift in the front.

Aside from that, I love my Deavers and highly recommend them.

My truck has all of the Pro parts or better, hence I added TRD "Bro" badges.

This is what I figured, thanks for confirming. Right down to the rigid industries. Truck looks great. I’m running Westcott Designs btw.

How much lift do you have in the front? Im on Eibach coilovers with 90mm thread on preload, don't know the exact lift height but should be about 2.5-2.75”). Im on stock leaf springs with 1” block and dont know if upgrading to Deaver stage 1 or 2. I dont have any load on bed unless I go camping or offroading. Any suggestions?

You should always set up the truck to perform at its best in its most used configuration. if you drive it 75% without the extra weight, build the truck so that it rides great in that lighter config. Heavier rated springs will make the truck stiffer and therefore more uncomfortable*** (***that's an opinion, I like soft ride) Yes that will mean that the truck will squat a bit more when you load it, but it doesnt mean the truck cant do it, its just not going to do it as well, maybe only 75% of the performance for 25% of the time versus going for something that will feel 100% 25% of the time and 50% 75% of the time. I think that makes sense right? or is it only making sense in my head? I'm trying not to make this into a 5-paragraph essay....

It makes total sense, honestly I would probably be 80% of the time without weight since its my daily and I offroad whenever I have the chance (in Florida) so its just trails and some flexing, mostly mudding. When I go camping of offroad I load the bed quite a bit but don't know exact weight.

a friend of mine suggested stage 2 in case I put a bed rack, RTT, and rear bumper in the future but honestly idk when I’ll be able to fully build some static overlanding gear.

Thats the reason of my indecision, they cost the same and don't know if buying ahead of time or if by doing that I’ll feel uncomfortable daily driving without load.

Stage 1 mostly unloaded here on my Pro shocks (sliders, full aluminum skids, retrax cover and 40 lbs gear). They provided exactly 2" lift measured the Archive Garage method (from axle tube to bottom frame rail). Front lift is 2.3", but DS is at 1.8" in this pic because tacoma lean. Tires are 265/75r16.

I was in the same boat...may add a rear bumper in the future, but if I do, I will get the stage 2 at that time. You don't want to abuse yourself and the truck all the way up until you MIGHT add weight. The truck will handle camping gear stock, it will handle the same gear with stage 1 much better while also retaining lift. No ones like the squat...don't be a squatter.

    Sorry the pic is sideways...lol

Pretty much what was said, you want it to suit the most used conditions…..assuming it’s a daily driver.

I got all my stuff from @AccuTune Offroad, their uca’s, fox pes, deaver u402 stage 1 per their recommendation and my load (sliders, full alum skids, gas skid, Demello front bumper w winch)
….and to also have a 200lb high clearance rear bumper.

I don’t have the rear bumper yet but it does drive nice and I like the height and the normal raked stance.
Now with my 200lb dirt bike and camping gear (not rtt) it still sits like it’s unloaded and drives super nice.

What’d they charge & how long did I take?

I was considering going from 1 to 2 if the new bumper and loaded squats too much.

I think they’re in Santa Ana right?

    That is correct.
The folks are very helpful if you need to talk to them about what springs you'll need for your rig.
I always recommend finding the weight of your rig before you order suspension components.
My rig is always setup for travel, so I took it to the scale laden for travel. Then you can look at the different stages of rear leafs Deaver offers and make a decision.

    Cheers

Wonder if it’s worth just buying new and selling the used ones?

I called them a few months ago and asked if they could modify them….like if it was between a 1 & 2 and they said yes.

I was in the same boat between the 1&2.

I’ll never do a RTT but taking longer than expected to decide on a rear high clearance bumper.
My bike weighs about 230ish, gear bag 40sih and it drives great.

Camping I’ll have more crap maybe 350ish and still drives good and no sag…the rear bumper will probably make a difference then. I still think I’d be between 1&2.

I think it’s funny how many people want to “level” their tricks, it’s like that so it can carry a load and not squat.

At least the ass-high has some practically to it, the squatted out fake prerunner does nothing on a daily driver.

Well, from my understanding (maybe Im wrong) but in terms of drivability, is better to be level or squat than high-ass. From what Ive seen/heard they kind of vibrate and having too much rake due to the angle in the driveshaft.

im just assuming from different experiences Ive heard or seen. I really just want the truck leveled on a daily. Dont care too much when loaded since I barely load it enough to squat (with current setup)

I’m talking slightly raked not like a 1970s high school set up.

Pickups are designed to carry stuff (and be level), the past 20 or so years they’ve become an suv equivalent in popularity by people who never carry anything.

There is no vehicle that comes off an assembly line squatted out (especially like a trophy truck wannabe).

My OCD don't want any rake at any time

I will never get how people like squatted trucks anyways. To me looks awful imo. Thats why Im getting leaf pack because the OEMs are already saggin a bit

I’m coming from an Icon AAL setup I left the factory overload spring in. I’m a big fan of how it rides actually but want to move to a full leaf pack. I’m assuming stage 1 will be the most similar and probably carry weight better than the current setup?
