I tried the new Tacoma yesterday. I'm keeping mine for sure. The engine and transmission were nice though. It has a very nice power now

My 2023 OR has very nice power too. All I need to do is step on the skinny pedal.

That little 4 banger will smoke our v6. Just saying.

That power will disappear really quick or get old fast since it’s a 4 banger.

I took a very serious look at a 24 Tacoma, I did not drive one. I don't really like the looks on the new model year, but I guess with some time it will grow on me. The pricing and the package selection is what really drove me away, I wish Toyota the best of luck with them and everyone who buys one. I'll be keeping my lower technology, slower Tacoma a while more.

It's not worth it. I'll keep my turd gen. Too much tech for me

I traded in my 2007 Corolla last year to get a Tacoma so I can go offroad ... not because I was tired of "continued reliability". Only 1 gasket issue with the Corolla (the deteriorated accessory belt was because the splash guard was knocked off ... did not know it had broken off ... and water splashed up killed the belt).

My Tacoma may not be perfect, but I expect it to run long enough to pay it off.

Will be cool if someone can put them side by side and tow uphill, see which one has REAL TRUCK power

I have absolutely no problem with people liking the Gen 4 Tacoma. I would never buy one myself for my own reasons. For me it’s very simple, I don’t like the new body style, I don’t like the turbo 4 banger, and I hate that they dropped the access cab.

I saw my first '24 on the highway the other day. Or maybe it was a tundra, hard to say they look the same.

I hear you man after trying it out, I'm keeping mine. Best part of the 4th gen was the place you rest your arm while arm out the window is comfy. Trust me I returned the truck ASAP and got in my 3rd gen and didn't look back. Plus it cost way more and it feels cheaper. Feels like driving a chevy. No more actual gauges, it's all digital. I can't wait to see how they hold up. Oh and that noise it makes everytime it's put in park. I belive it's the emergency brake engaging. I see a lot of frozen brakes this winter

Maybe it’s just me but imo the 4 banger sounds like a tractor.

Me too on my 2017 and only ~93k on it. Most likely going full-size next for more towing/hauling capability. I want to like the 4th gen, but for MT (only reason) makes no sense for me.
