Unrelated: I saw a truck today with 3 spoke rims. I made and audible gasp and almost crashed

Somehow I smashed the anderson connector shell for my tire pump at Silver Lake. The conductor pins were fine. Replaced the connector shell with a spare, Spurtar EEL0002A:

Another big rain storm in Mississauga and streets were flooded cars stuck everywhere in my area. My truck went through it no problem. Got me thinking if one day I’ll save 10% on car insurance if a have a snorkel installed. lol. Anyone on here re located air intake feed into the cowl? Not too keen on the look of the traditional snorkel. Thanks.

i did the cowl intake a few years ago and its been good. raises the air intake point significantly higher and protects the air entry point from water and dust.

IMO anyone that does any legit wheeling should have this or a snorkel (especially if their passenger fender liner has been trimmed or removed). any questions or need pics i can help. @Shveet and @Norilsk have installed them too and maybe others.

We do a trip in October if your game
..we will post that one fairly soon.
We leave the Tuesday after Thanksgiving and usually return on Saturday. It's a hotel friendly trip that covers a wide variety of terrain.

That's because Toyota has entire departments working full-time looking at ways to cut costs, and that made the truck flimsier in some areas. The 4th gen went to an in-hat bumpstop in the front, then switched from steel to aluminum top hats. The aluminum has really rough casting quality on par with early chineseium Harbor Freight tools: https://www.tacomaworld.com/posts/29684634 A few Youtubers blew through them already.
