They have a nice complete lineup that has rear, both fronts, and front diff bushings.
Mine is a 97 so it’s got 2 front bumps on the LCA.
Also like that their company vehicle is a 3rd gen t4r, and they really did a great job building and driving that thing.
I’d buy superbumps in a heartbeat tho again.

Pushed the truck pretty hard today and learned some things.

Rear suspension is not up to par with speed.
Truck is floppy without added structure and support.

I would suggest starting with upgrading control arms first. Maybe not typical advice but the thinking is that the rubber mounts you were on about actually limit smooth travel. They don't rotate in the joint but rather flex at a rate that isn't constant. Imo its better to start there with something like urethane or delrin joints that will rotate in the joint and allow smooth travel all the way through the available range. That way you'll be able to use the whole range of travel available to you so far then jump to changing shocks and spring rates next

I like the idea of keeping the clickers in the middle of the range while tuning for whatever your target driving style is. That way you have room to either increase or decrease damping when you go to do odd stuff.
Also great job getting a video, makes tuning and discussions about it so much easier

So my truck is just mid travel, currently on Fox 2.5's all around, but going to Bilstein 8112's up front and something custom out back for a 12" shock.

Truck has 35x11.50's, doesn't get wheeled hard but does go on some longer trips occasionally.

My steering rack (OEM) is starting to get some oil deposits on the inner tie rod boots. Due to the fact that I don't wheel it hard, I'm not really fearful of it completely blowing out the seal, but looking at options to replace it.

I have some JDFab steering rack bushings here for when I swap it (if I go OEM rack), and will do the JDFab PS pump upgrade as well when I'm in there.

Would anyone put the OEM rack in over a Tundra rack? I've heard some concerns with bump steer with the Tundra rack and I'm doing whatever I can to minimize steering wheel feedback (one of my biggest complaints with the truck currently).

I would do a new rack with JD's slide rack over a Tundra rack. But if you are doing the Howe setup (I do recommend, it helps a lot) start with that and a new OEM Tacoma rack. FYI, 74Weld is working on a rack for the Tacoma. However, it will most likely end up being the most expensive option. I myself am waiting to see what they come up with.

I'm a 3rd gen guy so no slide rack for me.

I've been waiting for Quinn to email me deets on the 74weld option, but I'm sure it's going to be $3-$4k. If I wheeled harder or if I was really blowing through racks I'd be more excited for it. Unless of course he couples it with a similar PS pump upgrade for that $3-$4k number. I don't see the market being there in the Tacoma space if he prices it like his Bronco racks.

I’ve been hearing this for quite a while. Is there any sense on if it’s making it to market this year?

Maybe I’ll reach out to them. I don’t mind guinea pigging but I’m going to need a new rack sooner rather than later.

Put in a Howe steering pump and that wheel feedback will completely go away. That feedback is caused by a check valve in the stock power steering pump.

Dang it I was hoping one was categorically better than the other

I'll do a little cross shopping and throw some bumps in before I make this OME combo go away. After reading y'alls guidance and info, I think I'm just gonna go 8112/8100 zone control down the road and let the 4R stay mid-travel, cause getting the back to drop out a lot to match a front LT combo seems just as invasive as the front.

Doubtful there will be a public purchasable solution till next year. A buddy has a Bronco rack from them, says it was the best thing he bought for his bronco. He was going thru racks monthly ( early Bronco)

Lack of up travel in the rear is your issue at speed.

    SUA is your solution.

I have bypasses that will work with a bed cage as well. :boink:

Got a time machine to go back and listen to the people who told me to build the rear suspension first?

I've got enough in my mid travel rear to have a dmz kit with 16s at this point.
