installed my BL today. Went smooth besides a part malfunction but other than that was fairly easy. The steering spacer is a pain though. I can help you whenever you decide to do it.

Replacing CV boots are a giant PITA. I'm sooooo over it and will probably never do it again. When I did my Tundra, I just bought the whole damn CV axle. It was only 70 bux for a remanufactured axle with lifetime warrenty on everything...including the boots. Just have to swap the dust shields. Pulling the axle is a piece of cake and takes no special tools except a 35MM axle socket.

I know I'm really leaning on just buying new ones it looks like a royal pain in the ass and I really don't think I even want to deal with it. And with a life time warranty it's tempting and I might be doing big things with the front end within the next year :spy:

Personally, my time is worth more than saving a few bucks by just doing the boots. I just checked, Autozone has the cv axles for $60. ;)
I have the big ass 35 mm socket if you need a loaner.

Writeup I found when I did the Tundra axles (acutally a writeup for the Tacoma). http://www.4x4wire.com/toyota/maintenance/cv_axle/
Only difference is the reman axles from Autozone come with a new snap ring so no need to transfer that over, just the dust shields.

It litterally took me 30 minutes per side (with air tools). Last time I did boots it probably took me 4 times that amount of time and I had CV grease in places I needed 3 mirrors to see.
