Well, had a few beers and put the S1000XR on facebook marketplace. We'll see what happens. If it doesn't sell, YOLO I get to keep a fast fucking bike longer, if it does, then I make some money and get to try another bike down the road. Facebook take the wheel.

The only way to find out if it’s the bike for you is to put some miles on it. Sitting on a bike and a short test ride do nothing. Well hopefully you can make some money or worse case break even.

Yeah on paper it was everything I was looking for, but on the way back from Montana my knees were killing me after an hour. I listed it at 9 and it’s currently the lowest priced one in like a 500 mile radius (Spokane, Seattle, Portland included). I got such a great deal on it was a no brainer to give it a shot and try it out.

Just got done replacing tubes and tires. Goddamn that was a pain in the ass, I'll be paying a shop next time for sure...

 

Damn it!! Just came across a 2008 Zx10r with 11000 miles 2 nd owner pretty much stock for an asking price of 6k. Damn I don’t need that much power!!!

its actually super easy... you can put it in a safe and claim you know where its at but if you own said vehicle for a loooong ass time and move multiple times it does happen.. we had that happen with our little atvs years ago even thou we only moved once they just got misplaced! tbh they are prob somewhere in my parents house but nobody knows where lol. my dads 1993 dr350 he bought from a friend and the title was lost due to a fire and nobody cared to get a new one so it can happen lol.

There are reasonable, legitimate reasons that titles can get lost. Those are an exception though. The bulk of lost titles is far more likely to be owner error. PA is a PITA when it comes to stuff like that so I won't touch a vehicle with a missing title.

In the smallest of worlds, the mom of kid who's crash I helped with is in one of the local riding groups on FB.

Kid was a lot more messed up than I thought... glad he is ok though, and it was nice to get some closure to what happened to him after putting him in the bus.

I confess I lost one. For the first time in my life. Countless cars and bikes. It somehow got mixed up with my sons critical documents and he moved a 1000 miles away. He felt his own track record of document maintenance was poor and requested shared space in a locked drawer. Seemed like a good idea at the time.


This was at a time I had a single moto. Still have it (The bike I mean - 11 years so far)) and not planning to sell, but recently went ISO the title to organize all the moto's paperwork and it's gone. It will be an easy replacement but still. I was quite amazed and frustrated to find that this occurred.

 

That's a rough go, but I hope he makes progress in his recovery.
