Nah just saving it till the end of the year, I'll start taking some time off when the snow flys. I will save 40 hours though to carry over

Ah, I don't do much vacationing during winter, it's the easy months to just exist, short daylight hours, cold weather that I enjoy, heated garage, excuse to drink coffee all day.

I do, it's decent I think but I need to do more of the reading from DRS to determine how decent. The pamphlet was very boring, it takes about 3% of my monthly pay so not a big deal really.

Helps to know what carries over; some companies allow "xx" amount to roll over into the next year and others don't.

I know with our company, the longer you were there, the more you could carry over into the next year.

My company did similar, let you build up years worth of PTO over time, and then decided the liability of all the PTO from the long time employees was too much. Cut the maximum back by a few hundred hours, and we had nobody working for like 3 months while everyone burned off the excess PTO before losing it. Was a shitshow

KP.3 variant, similar to last years prominent variant JN.1, not a huge concern unless your local community "did their own research"

I read his statement as stated, something new.

Yeah the variants are nothing new.

I mean parovirus isn't new either but it is on the rise as well. Sucks but goes away, worse for folks with kids in school

Yeeeah, that's a whole other issue right there

Are you glad to be out of the school setting?

I didn't mind schools much really, kids usually mean well and are fun to chat with. Inmates are fun to chat with too but they don't always mean well, and either group is just as likely to cough in your face haha

    Ha true

I guess I just meant between the general population you're surrounded by - not all kids get their immunizations, etc.

Then again I never worked at a prison so I don't know if they're forced to receive anything to prevent the spread of shit while incarcerated?

I'll ask my friend when he brings his truck over
