Man I walked out of the house and left my lunch on the counter... debating going home since I have to go to my other campus later anyway.

Could be, was there an uptick? Last I heard that whole thing started like two years ago and fell out of the spotlight

It made its rounds in the news a little while ago and I guess is resurfacing again.

It's illegal in CA at least as far as PTO goes, the whole use it or lose it thing. It either has to carry over or they have to pay you out for it in wages

Sick days are the ones that don't carry over which is why they always tell us to use those first here, even if you're not "sick"...my first vacation of every year I make sure to use up the sick days before my PTO.

    @Kwikvette @Tour991 @JKO1998 anyone else with a walking crotch goblin I'm forgetting

These things are awesome if you haven't picked them up yet. I probably have more fun with them than Sofia does.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says that, based on past data collected in Africa, the smallpox vaccine is at least 85% effective in preventing monkeypox. However, since this situation is so new, the precise degree of protection is not known. Researchers say that while older adults who have been vaccinated against smallpox may be susceptible to monkeypox infection, they are likely to experience only mild symptoms. The data show that the majority of healthy adults who become infected do not become severely ill. And to your question about smallpox boosters, no, they are not available.

To combat this outbreak, the U.S. has just purchased 2.5 million doses of monkeypox vaccine, which bolsters the 500,000 doses already stockpiled. Distribution to high-risk individuals is expected to begin soon. You can find detailed information about smallpox and monkeypox at the CDC website. Visit cdc.gov/poxvirus and click the appropriate link.

They look fun. Olivia is starting to play with Legos so going to add these to the Amazon cart.

I always liked Legos, still have some on my desk at home. K'nex were fun too, but harder to find in stores these days

Same. I had a huge Lego bin as a kid. Funny thing, my mom was here last week and asked me if I wanted it for the kids. I was shocked she knew exactly where it was.

I forgot about Knex, those were great. Erector sets were a lot of fun, but definitely more for the 5+ range.

I loved playing with Lincoln Logs too, back in the 90s they came complete with "cowboy vs indians" figurines so you could lay siege to each other's lands or pretend to slowly decimate from within via communicable disease.

Yeah we can carry over 40, I think I did last year. Looks like I only have 32 hours for the rest of the year. Dang I took off way more than I realized this year.

Magnatiles ftw. I also got my kid the marble run stuff for christmas when he was 2, he enjoyed putting the marbles in but not building. Magnatiles on the other hand he LOVES building with as much as he loves smashing it down.

We just started getting him into the more complex legos.

We got him this set for his 4th bday and legit 2 mornings in a row at 6 am before daycare he wanted to build it during my morning coffee. I looked at directions, described what we needed and showed a pic, and then he would find and place them where they belong.

A lego set that has dirt bikes, camping and an offroad vehicle? It's like it was made for me.

I have some many of them. They are fun. The issue is my kid likes to destroy what i build so its like a race against time to get it built before he comes to destroy it

Was gonna say, it's funny you say that cause when I first started building him stuff with his big lego blocks, he'd knock them down right away and I immediately remember Sofia doing the same
