Sorry to make you work for it... Despite my kids choosing #1 I think #3 is the win. This one with the bigger roo.

    Kids are not always right!
    #3 is definitely the winner.

I just used a glob of peanut butter for bait

Had some scrap wood for the ramp to the trap. I also used a piece of wire so the ramp wouldn’t fall down

be sure to put some water in the bucket so they drown.. otherwise you get a mess

Didn't know they actually made a product like that.
Had a chipmunk in the basement that I caught that way. (he got into the dryer vent)
Just a board and a bucket with some food in it.

I tried a whole lotta traps and went down a YouTube rabbit hole one night and found these. Works really well. Plus it’s not a single use, it can keep going which is super nice so you don’t have to check it as frequently.

There’s a roller trap you can do as well but I haven’t tried that one. Similar idea it just spins in the middle of the bucket so they fall in that way.

Whatever gets rid of them is better than them being in the house or buildings making a mess

I feel pretty dumb as I am not sure what you are referring to. Not OSHA approved but definitely safer than a HiLift jack... Or was this about the problem he is having? Guess I will just wander off into my fog...

It was shocking learning how dangerous those things actually are. Especially when every rig that gets used for marketing has one mounted on it.

...or a couple of boards, for those who've seen the picture of a guy under a Hilux propped up like that with nothing but 2x6s.

edit: Of course, I can't find that pic now...

Got all of my Idler/Tension Pulleys changed out today. Pretty simple job. Cygnus was way off base with the radiator removal-everything is easily accessible from underneath. Remove the skid plate and go to it with a 14mm socket and breaker bar. Took me 1.5 hours (and a chunk of that was looking at the diagram and rr my skid.) Caveat is I did not replace the whole tensioner unit just the idler.

The problem (like most things) is people don’t know how to use them properly. They see some goober on the internet and then do what they did

    Not going to lie.
23yrs ago I was changing cv axles on my Prelude, in the uneven parking lot of my apt complex.
Using a bottle jack, the car tool kit and a basic ratchet set.
Some of us wonder how we're still alive.

Edit: That's where my 1-7/16 socket came from.
    That I've never used, since.

It honestly feels like a whole new truck and the quality is amazing. Even when someone is unfortunate enough to get thrown in the back they get to ride in luxury
