@mattgecko have you ever run into an issue where the lights have gone dim? The ones I have mounted under the cab are doing so.

I have some theories as to what it might be, but just wondering if you had any run ins with that issue.

Yes, it means the ground connection has gone bad. Unscrew the ground and inspect the ground wire.

Well after sitting on these lights for over a year possibly two, I finally got around to installing them. Gotta say they look pretty sweet!

Also, think I may have set a record with world’s longest install. Took me around three and a half hours and one trip to the hardware store but I got it done so that’s all I really care about.

Thanks @MiTacoTRD for the idea on the bolt to attach the ground wire to and @mattgecko for building a cool, functional product at a reasonable price.

Finally installed my kit. Leds are great! My bed lights up bright with only 2 of the led strips.

@mattgecko Wondering if your kit (or a custom build) would work for "rock lights"? Could 4 strips stand the wear and tear of being under the truck?

Hey Matt, I’m sure you’ve wrote a description in the 79 pages here. Do you provide parts/instructions on how to wire this to the rear cab light?

    I have a third gen 6’ bed.

    thanks!

Hey @mattgecko , I'm sure this has been asked 20 times (But I'm not reading 79 pages lol)

I want this kit, with a switch, as well as to turn on with the tailgate open.

That's the 3 way switch, dual color version right?

I only want 1 color (White)

My understanding is one color led's are better than dual color led's (By virtue of not having to have a second color led on the strip)

I guess what I'm asking is, can I order the 3 way switch version, with only a white strip, or could I order the white strip only version and have you add on a 3 way switch?

A single color kit can easily be wired in a way to have a bed mounted switch and a tailgate pin switch. I stopped using the pin switch options as they get dirty and fail, needing cleaning. PM me if your interested in a customized kit.

I bought these a while ago and looking to install them soon.......for the bed lights do you recommend mounting them under the metal track or onto the plastic bedside below the track?
