I have a friend that lives in Phoenix and he does not go out when the temp is 105 or above.

No name yet. The rescue named the 4 kittens after the Beatles and his name now id Paul. I am sure a different name will happen. BTY the kittens were born on the 4th of July.

Good morning. Lots to do today, so I cannot be a slug. Get through the morning and work on the afternoon. 52 degrees outside this morning, nice to have some cooler temps in morning during August.

:pccoffee:  sixtys/wannabes/rock-n-rollers. I haven't been to a rock concert in deca---- waitaminit, we saw Bob Dylan's kid Jakob just last year! Wow! I guess we still got some mojo. But TBH it was way too loud... :anonymous:

We helped a neighbor snag a driveway basketball hoop yesterday and haul it to her grandchildren's house. It looked like it was going to be a huge PITA until we figured out an easy-ish way to separate the top from the base. Then it fit in the Taco pretty well and behaved itself on the trip over. They live in a neighborhood so quiet and traffic-free that the kids can set up hoops on the curb and play on the street. That's pretty cool.

Today I'm off to pick up some parts for the Lotus. :spending: Then it will be on to the garage it's in to start bringing it up to a better level of roadworthiness, plus undoubtedly making another list of parts it will need. :spending::spending:

It's kind of cool that the parts supplier -- the best for Lotus parts in the US -- is about halfway between me and the car! But of course that comes with its own set of dangers... :spending::spending::spending:

A little something every chance we get.
:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! It did make it to 107* yesterday, and headed that way today. I did do several nothings. Today, a little more motion. Need to stop by the :plane:, and show the Colonels what I'm thinking for a working stand for the motor - mounting it vertical so I can work around it. Then a haircut, and finally the first Ortho doc. Maybe I get some answers. Sports therapy is a kind of expensive temporary relief.

    Morning all:

Good luck with the surgery Mark.

Yesterday it was cool and breezy here in the NE, finally starting to get some comfortable weather. Birds flocking up, leaves starting to fall, grass growing like crazy, and my hedges soon need trimming, those are sure signs that summer is almost over.
It will soon be time to go archery hunting, already started checking out equipment and necessary gear, the good news is that I don't need to buy anything other than a couple of handwarmer packs and maybe a couple batteries. I always buy the handwarmer packs early when they are readily available, because when it gets really cold later on and I need them, they usually are sold out.

Earlier this morning I was watching the Morning news and the meteorologist / weather forecaster. He mentioned the twelve seasons of weather in Tennessee , I thought this was funny and true !!!!

    Evening all:

About the same here, I think he's onto something there!
It will probably be hotter in archery season than it is now, which fits the false fall narrative!

I would not mind naming him Monroe after the 5th President of the United States. The last President to serve in the Revolutionary War, provided reconnaissance for Washington prior to crossing the Delaware River and, took a bullet in the shoulder while on the reconnaissance mission. A lot of people like to call themselves patriots, James Monroe walked the walk.

Good morning. Seniors' day at Harris Teeter. Going to try and fit in a haircut after chair yoga.
