The gentleman who created this thread filed a chargeback and was going to keep the item we built and sent him. We’ve since built and sold over a dozen of the Second Gen Tacoma front bumpers with a much tighter approach angle. They can be seen on our instagram page.

Ryan (RC Fabrication) is not my friend nor was he ever my friend. His front bumper was built by me and his fiberglass fenders and bedsides were also installed by me. He makes a ripoff spindle gusset that he wanted my shop to promote years ago. He is making false claims of me screwing him over. I’ve attempted to contact his cell via text message and called with no response. Evan paid for all the work we did to his vehicles and he is a friend. You can visit his profile or mine to see the front bumper we built along with all other work we do. We build and ship hundreds of products, all across the United States. Three years in business and if anyone has any questions call, email or send me a message. Please also see the work we do.

I spelled it out in the thread, wasn't going to keep it unless I didn't get my money back. Our issue was solved also stated in the thread.

I've been doing that since December of 2023 for an order placed in the early fall. I've been told soon, very soon, and ASAP for the last almost 8 months.

Listed as permanently closed and the website is down.

Hopefully no one else becomes victim.

    Yeah.
A simple Google search yesterday had at least one hit that listed him as the "former owner." Facebook page was still up, but web site was down.

At this point he should be the one to be hopeful not to become a victim.

    Yeah.
We've seen this story play out multiple times here on TW. Funny how each time the vendor will show up with a similar attitude trying to assure everyone they are legit when they are, in fact, a sinking ship. Sure, unexpected shit happens, but if you haven't taken anyone's money for something you haven't and never will provide, no harm done.

General comment on situations similar to this: I understand paying a fabricator buddy (someone that you know really well and trust) some money up front to cover materials, but not someone you don't know that is supposedly running a business. If they can't cover material costs up front, that's a red flag that their business may not be able to deliver. I have a personal rule to not pay anything until I see something of value (e.g., fencing guy wants money up front for materials, I pay when the materials are delivered to my property). A good vendor/contractor will have no issues with this.

I realize in this situation that many people probably paid for something they believed was in stock and would ship but never did, which really sucks -- but that's when you use a credit card.

https://www.drewsfab.com/ was the old square website.
https://drewsfabrication.com/ is the new Shopify website.

Doing some inference based upon the lawsuit document. But you can take out a loan through Square where they take a percentage of each transaction they process to help pay off your loan. In the lawsuit document, he's being accused of switching the bank account tied to that loan payment process and the loan company stopped getting paid.

I assume this is why he is no longer on the Square website.

Unfortunately, that means if you try and process a chargeback for something purchased on the old website, your bank most likely won't be able to claw it back.

I've been waiting two weeks to hear back from my bank.

But I hope he enjoys the vacation that he posted about today :duh:

Well, Visa denied the chargeback. So now the spam campaign begins.

Nope, I was outside the 120 days that Visa allows for chargebacks. Even though my bank when I called said they could still do it.

So if your getting around that 120 day mark start your chargeback now so you don't get screwed like I did.
