Just called all 4 surrounding Toyota dealerships asking on pricing for both sway bar end links and they all quoted me at $179 each. Anyone got reliable way of getting OEM parts?

question is cheaper OEM parts vs reliable but I would check any of the south east United States Toyota dealers. They ship and almost always have deals going on where the West Coast and the Middle States do not. McGeorge is a common one but I have shopped around VA, FL, Etc. FL hitting the best deals. Sometimes, they have even better deals that work on top of other deals, and if they are doing free shipping over $75 win, win!

I got my last set of rear wheel bearings for $250 bucks, I think vs $400 something from an FL Dealer. If I recall correctly, I also got the all-weather floor, the same deal for less than $400. Locial will be the fastest, but if you are willing to wait, you can find a deal.

The other option is to ask and see who has a set lying around. I was giving away my old ones (1 was bent), but I would guess a large % of people on this site have swaybars with end links sitting in the corner of a garage, never to be used again.

Online dealer stores are cheapest. I use Sparks/BAM as they usually have the lowest and coupons for holidays. I’m all for OEM on most things like water pumps and safety components, but just a metal rod and bushing are grounds for a trip to Napa. Also some aftermarket options have grease fittings, so that’s an upgrade to me.

Sparks Parts, BAM, etc are all better priced. MSRP is 157.99 + tax, and the ones I listed are cheaper.

I usually recommend OEM for a lot of parts, but front sway bar links I usually just recommend the cheaper aftermarket ones bc they still last a long time and its not a crucial part. I have never seen one break either. Not that it cant happen though. I have only seen one detached bc it wasn't installed properly and then tore a CV boot.

You are talking a price difference of almost $250-$400 vs $40.

BTW - I agree with the previous post, I stopped running a sway bar a long time ago. After you go to a 2.5" diameter shock then its not a bad idea to dump it, and the trade off is no whooping around exit ramps for freeway driving.
