Shop Time w/T.W. Friends

Well fellers, it has been a busy day.

Up at 5 am, drove 600 miles, used a come-a-long to get the car on the trailer, crawled around under the car/trailer 2 times to get the weight right, drove another hundred or so moved the car one more time - should ride good now.

2 truckers tried to run me down at a Love's truck stop 2 minutes apart, the first guy was really barreling coming in the parking lot (might have had to whiz real bad ) the second decided he was going right across from the off ramp to the on ramp - without bothering to stop. I squawked the trailer tires on that one.

How can you not see a bright orange truck???

I'm knackered - time for a nice shower & Z.

So this is a new one for me…

Went to pull a couple of statements from an online bank account that’s well publicized everytime you watch tv. I don’t see July, May, or April for this year.

Called and to make a long story short, interest doesn’t count as activity to generate a monthly statement and they cannot generate a statement for me.

I set up a recurring monthly transfer to ensure I won’t be in this situation again.

 

Yep, it was dry. So today it got up to 108, the neighbor’s lawn mower burst into flames and the ensuing fire was more drama than any of us needed.

 

Congrats! New projects are always fun! I've experienced similar close calls with truckers on my recent road trips. One decided he was going to pass 2 others going uphill on a 2 lane highway 20 outside of Bend, Oregon. We put our signal on and proceeded to move over into the ditch to avoid a pancake death experience. About that time the other two truckers heavily braked so the 3rd semi could cut back over. He waved apologetically.

I'm curious what the approximate weight and length of that trailer is. I've got electronic trailer brakes on my Tacoma, but it doesn't tow all that great above 3500lbs.

Good morning shop crew! My Tuesday got really busy after my walk, then Wednesday we had the grandkids at our house all day. I was falling asleep in my chair after supper. I’m about to clean up the Subaru some more but I’m looking foto a nap after lunch today!
