Yah, seems like a good reason not to plug a 30 amp load into one.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
Dammit, Cisco!! My compressor is very similar to this unit. Now I see possibilities that could be addressed. The first thing I did with mine was to add a 1/4" pipe thread chuck and it did seem to make a big difference. I think looking to reduce the intake resistance would also help a lot. The manifold/relay/pressure switch, while I see the reasoning, I also think they are kinda overkill...at least for my uses.

It's a deep hole to fall into  You're welcome!

They're decent bases to build off of. It seems NAPA, Tire Flate, Thor's Lightning and even Morrflate were using the same bones with different stuff added.

The way we are it's just more fun to tinker with the upgrades ourselves.

While my wimpy sub-32" tires don't need all that power it helps having all this figured out for when I do go bigger.

Last time I cut the grass, an opossum committed suicide by running into the discharge chute. He got spit out to about 15' in less than a second. Fortunately, I was right next to the alfalfa field and the minced meat landed there instead of my yard.

Couldn't believe how many customers would come in saying their phone chargers don't work....

And they've got a 3 way plug, 2 USB extensions, and a CPAP charger all plugged into the same 12v outlet.

And no matter how many times we told them they can't do that and expect it to not blow fuses (thankfully, better than the alternative) they just refused to listen .

    I know better than that.

Running 1 Feed and 2 branches.
What do I want the feed fuse to be.
Is it the max pull of both branches x 1.25?
So for 2(30amp) I'd want at least a 75amp feed fuse?
That's where I get a bit thrown off.

    "Maw, we're having possum tonight"

    Those things are disgusting.
Had one outside my patio one winter, in broad daylight. Just lounging in the snow.
    I'm thinking rabies.

Okay... watched all the mod videos for this thing. Its way better than my Viair for the 35's as is. I think I have a plan for a better air chuck mount system thingy. Like the pressure switch so may do that too. Thanks for a wasted day of tinkering...

Seemed weird it was out during the day and it was acting awfully strange.

Used to live in Reno. Out Mnt Biking one winter night and hit one hard up in Keystone canyon. I swear he flipped me off as he staggered off. Stupid flucker... Tore a hole in my Assos neoprene tights and made me bleed. We used to to sing the "dead Possum on the Road" song biking there...

Never had opossum come out while cutting grass. I have run over mice, moles and snakes.
Yesterday I chased chickens out of the yard using the rider.
My dog is smart, she stays away until I shut the blades off. As a pup I would give her rides. She still want rides and I have to tell her she's too big, 60+lbs.

    Agree.

First you need to either decide how big you want the circuit to be on your own, or figure out the things you will be running and add up how much current (amps) those take. Then size the wiring and fuse appropriately.

    https://www.bluesea.com/support/art...oosing_the_Correct_Wire_Size_for_a_DC_Circuit

The article above goes into this, but what I really like is Blue Sea's chart (if you ever need to remember what to look up, type "DC ampacity chart" into the old Google'r and Bobs your auntie).

    DC_wire_selection_chartlg.jpg

Previously you mentioned you were going to run a 4GA output and then split off into two 8GA branch circuits. Based on the chart, you'd be leaving a bit of opportunity on the table there and I'd size the 8GA down to 6GA. Fuse the 4GA main at 100A, and the 6GA branches at 60A or 70A (personally I'd go 60A because those are usually easier to find out in the wild).

Notice also how I said to "fuse" the lines and not "breaker" them? Breakers you have to be careful because a 100A breaker won't trip at 100A. Articles exist on the internet about that topic and I won't go into it deeper here for now, but just be aware that breakers are more complicated than fuses, more expensive, and quality of the breaker matters (i.e. Blue Sea far superior to no-name Amazon junk unless you enjoy fires under your hood). Keep in mind fuses and breakers are there to protect the wire from burning, that's the goal. Keep it simple, otherwise be prepared to read up on breakers and how they work to size appropriately.
