LOL, I’m a mechanical moron, but I’m pretty sure there was a lower setting than my mild/medium. As stated, Paul told me to go drive it around, then come back and tell him it was good, or I wanted it tweaked one way or the other. It felt so damn perfect/normal to me, that I just wanted to get on the road and drive it 140 miles back home

Thank you for that. Mine is a stocker for the most part, but I am leaning towards Mild/Medium as you and another poster recommended!

M/M is perfect IMO. As long as you don’t have a heavy foot. Plus, this OTT is not jumpy at all comparing it with my previous latest KDMax tune files…

I initially asked for Lite/Mild. My tuner flashed Lite/Medium. After the flash I asked him what he flashed for point of clarification. He said Light/Medium. I was puzzled. Why did you flash Light/Medium? He said most don’t notice a difference with Lite/Mild. Lite/Medium there is more of a noticeable difference. He was right. Really enjoying the tune so far. I’m considering adding a review soon. It’s only been about 6 weeks since the flash.

I have "lite" and honestly that took some getting used to. My wife drove me home last night (designated driver) and it was jumpy with her--her other car is an Acura. I might have opted for Lite Minus but I'm pretty well used to Lite by now. I can't imagine how jumpy the more aggressive settings must be.

And we get requests for them quite regularly. Mostly larger tire, heavy trucks gravitate up.

    Most stock-stock-ish trucks are Lite-Mild or Mild-Med.

Lite Minus is pretty rarely requested believe it or not.

I have my OTT appointment setup for Monday, quick question..is the mild and medium the most popular? I have a 3rd gen 2.7L and want that extra pep in my step since I carry allot of tools and equipment. Does the tune feel like if I'm driving around with ect on? Should I do the medium for heavy cargo? Hopefully someone can chime in and add their 2 cents.

I would start with medium/spicy for the 2.7. Go for a drive and hit the ECT button which will be spicy. That will give you an idea of where you want to be. 2.7 usually need a little extra to counter the sluggish/under powered motor. Remember, you can always be adjusted for free.

I think your tune guy will be more helpful to you and your desired performance changes when it comes selecting your tune setting.

having said that, I do “think” most are going for mild/medium and your tuner wouldn’t have to “think”, he most likely knows. I just pulled my 19’ boat for the 3rd time since my tune and I flat love it!

Getting mine done Saturday. Curious, did your mileage change much either way?

It’s hard to tell, but it seems like it’s slightly better - I drive like an old lady because I’m a MPG freak, but of course where you’re driving affects it a lot and I’ve varied from around town, freeway and towing. I only got 13.8 yesterday pulling my boat (about 120 miles round trip) but got 14.9 average a few weeks ago on a 460 mile round trip with the boat

I don't see much difference. But that doesn't say much. The driving I do isn't very consistent.

Mileage didn't change much on mine...but it depends on the driver.

I engage ECT in Drive as well as S-Drive.

You can feel the RPMs increase in Drive...S-Drive, not much different.

But then again, I'm not heavy footed. lol

Is there any way to smooth out the jumpiness when the AC is on? I always hated how the truck drove with the AC on and was hoping the tune could fix that. While it’s better, it’s still a bit clunky feeling. It drives amazing without the AC on. Any ideas?

My 1991 with 22RE loses two of the four cylinders when the A/C is engaged.
Sometimes I think I could get out and push and make it go better.
When critical, I have to punch off the A/C then start again after the critical situation is over.

I don't notice this with my 2023 3.5l at all.
A/C on this rig is great.

I suspect my 1991 problem is a binding compressor.
