I know you're being coy, but the trucks ride better being lighter weight and better suspension and squishier tires. The comfortable speed in the trucks is higher.

 

I don't think that word is appropriate. No pretense here.

I was genuinely curious. I figured the 'hydration' part wouldn't be different but what about enjoying the lazy days and what about the long driving days trying to see it all.

 

Doesn't change with the truck other than the speeds are usually higher. I prefer less miles and more time relaxing, no rush. It's certainly different than I used to be. The day to day rhythm, always looking at the clock, gotta be there by this time, gotta make sure I'm not late. When I can switch that off I find I have a lot more joy. So when I'm in vacation mode driving fast to get somewhere that beats me up or the rig is just turning the knife so to speak.

 

Arches was pretty rad. Hiked to delicate with headlamps and enjoyed the sunrise there. The size of the arches up close is pretty trippy. Ran into canyonlands a bit as well. Pretty cool place to go with kids this age. Hit dino monument on our way north today, crazy all the bones in that quarry wall! In Cheyenne for the night before going back to boring Wisconsin

I think I've finally decided it's time to sell my Tacoma. Both batteries are completely dead and I haven't even driven it in at least 11 months....the tabs expire end of August. It's that weird "it's my first vehicle I bought 100% on my own" feeling. But it doesn't work for four people either

Nice photos Mike! I feel like next year we may have a rig and kids capable of a trip out to meet up with you guys. Planning wise it may be tricky but I want to make it happen. I think our road trips are the best thing for our family so it's only a matter of time! Just got home tonight. Holy cow I 80 through the country is busy and not a lot of fun. Will be going I 90 in the future regardless of extra time it takes.

 

That was over a few days! But yes a lot of fun. Slowing down and enjoying Moab as a town was fun. But ideally getting some campfire time out of town would be better

 

Of course you always be welcome. It'd be great to see you and the fam again.

Replacing the valve stem today, gonna keep this spare in the glove box for the future. Thing worked like a charm. Rubber deformed to the right shape, if anything if I could pick up a spare rubber part, it would be perfect as a spare.

 

Ended up in Seattle today.

When did you get the bumper? That the allpoo one?

 

Picked it up this morning in Clarkston. Was hoping for an ARB but he was out of stock of it and he had this it a trail gear with a stinger. I need a bumper so all pro it was. It'll work for what I need.
