For 2 years I thought I had taken my sway bar off.
Then I was doing my brakes and looked and realized, nope, she's still on there.
So. I guess I WASN'T more planted in the corners w/o the sway bar, I just thought I was.

I'm about to crack out some harness work for light pods and I don't mind doing a little bit of labor on the scrap/spares pile if someone needs anything made with deutsche (DT/DTP) connectors. If I have the shit on hand I dont mind slamming out simple stuff for people.

After driving up and down the Smokey mountains, I am considering getting a sway bar disconnect setup, as I miss it and it will go back on the runner.

I thought this was very fitting of me.

Started up the truck, and the seatbelt light is on solid, not blinking. I think, uh oh.
Then about 30 seconds after startup it starts blinking, and I relax.

Only me - "No, that light SHOULD be on, but blinking! It's on solid, so that's a problem!"

What do people use for LCA ball joints? I ordered whiteline bushings already.

I ended up putting in MOOG ball joints with the Whiteline bushings.

I think I actually have a set laying around. I probably will do some gusseting after I sandblast.

When there was talk of Jeep making a truck again, I thought for sure that’s what I’d end up with, but they screwed that up, so I’ll pass.

the new yota Trail editions come with away bay disconnect setup. I’m curious to what that looks like.

I found a few options when I did some quick research, I have to decide if I’ll wheel enough to make it worth the $$$

The Jeep ones (and I think the colorado off road trims have the same thing) are nice because it's electronic, hit a button in the cab and you're good. Installing one of THOSE would be money.

Without spending more than 20 seconds searching, it looks like you can be in for under a grand for a manual DC. BUT, this one makes notes about trimming skids, so with the fact you futzed with your lift/skids, that might throw a wrench into the equation.

For what it's worth, I have done all the stuff I've done with my sway bar on. I wouldn't recommend 3 bears...But, with a lift, you might be fine. I think what I'm getting at is having a sway bar wouldn't be the limiting factor in anything you'd want to use your 4runner for.

Connecting to the UBJ is goofy, id have more faith on something like these. They will wear out but it is all COTS parts.

Lol is which tier was the one having the shocks fail left and right when they first came out?

Chrysler was letting people drive home on failed shocks and the wait was 4-6 months for replacements since they got hit so hard apparently. Not that I ever needed a reason to not buy a jeep as a main vehicle, but that was a good one lol

That was an internet picture, so not sure all the details of it. But for the $0 in steel and 0.5lb Id say its worth doing for me.

Oh ok, I was about to say, what kind of wheeling are you doing that you're breaking that stuff but nobody else that I know of did. Would be a good thing to do since you have the materials.
