Just wondering... when did the assembly operation move from Texas to Mexico? Wouldn't be surprising to learn that the first 1 or 2 model years done down there experience a multitude of manufacturing defects while new lines were being debugged and new workers were being trained.

Seriously while it sucks and is not perfect who actually gives a F. 30 years from now it’ll look the same and the Gardner with his now electric weed wacker will launch whatever other garbage at the truck and one can cry about it then

You don't have to rally a forum's worth of internet strangers' approval if you're unhappy with the paint. Take it to your dealer and have it fixed. Most of us agree its not perfect, not even great by any means, and would warrant a fix. Many of us also agree its miniscule, and while you should've gotten better, you'll more than likely get worse from their "fix."

You've gotta choose your battles. I'd say prepare to be without a truck for a while why they replace the door they ran into a pole and replac... I mean, repaint that small area you brought it in for. Seems the people with the most attention to detail somehow have the worst luck and dumb techs somehow find ways to crash their vehicles backing it out of the bay. Best of luck though, I hope your dealer is more competent than the others I read daily about here.

I wouldn’t have believed there are people in the world that have never noticed the rocker guard sprayed on many vehicles until now, but alas.

take it off with a grinder!!

Ah I stand corrected. So Toyota needs to fix it if the suspension hasn’t been modified

A few, mainly added skids. I like leaving the suspension alone. I drive forest service dirt roafs in the desert west extremely extremely too fast. Toyota nailed this suspension going 65 across desert terrain. Changing it is dumb unless you have a specific need like crawling or mud.
When you part it out, can I have your drivers side mirror and front panel please....

haven't read through all this, do the bubbles flake or crack or is it contamination in the paint? My 23 Lunar Rock has a lot of paint contamination ive noticed over the last year

The concerns were foreign or laughable to my mind and especially for a truck. The paint is on a vehicle that should have warranty and not unlike a lot of new vehicles we saw in our long-running shopping. More confusing because or weird to me because I cannot imagine owning and using a light truck without getting damage worse than landscaping. If I buy something it is to use the heck out of it and wear it out.

Hopefully the OP with very different different values than me can get it resolved with warranty.

    :)

Unfortunately, your thought process on owning a truck is the minority. Most people don't spend 50k on a truck to beat the hell out of it.

Being that it's a truck doesn't give the manufacture the green light to produce it with crappy paint and poor-quality control.

You guys know you can use a truck properly and still take care of the paint, right?

There’s also a very big difference between damage I do vs unacceptable quality control from a major manufacturer.

    Yeah.
Didn't the later Pro's have a slightly higher lift? I know Eibach made longer springs for the earlier Pros (they supply the springs to Fox for the OEM shocks as well), and people that swapped to them also had squeaking issues. I'm wondering if this is basically the same problem.

That bubbling paint sucks, but it's not the end of the world. I think a lot of industries are having trouble coming back from the [thing that shall not be named]. In general, quality of everything seems to have gone downhill.
