Don't change your lift, get better CVs!

 

I was just going to stick to oem cv and get the boot. Is that decent?

 

If I have a warranty on it will it void it?

 

^If your boot fins are touching and you don't do the boot slide mod, when the boot wears a hole, the seller will claim you ran the axle at angles exceeding the mfr's specification, and deny warranty coverage.

If your boot fins aren't touching, there's no need to do this mod.

How long is the parts warranty? 90 days?

 

Based on what G007 earlier, it sounds like your 1.75/2 inch lift is probably more like a 3 inch lift. If thats the case, I would suggest getting the aftermarket CVs that can handle the more extreme angle or adjusting your coilover to do less lift and then replacing with OEM cvs. (We all know the first option would be cooler)

 

Well crawled under my truck grease all over the boot that was repaired May 29th. I think th3 clamp broke off. Dealer is going to check it Aug 30

 

I tried dobinson boot kit about 6 months ago and have been happy with it..

 

Here is a little something you can do to prolong the boots. This worked for me.
