Hackberry creek trail run this Saturday

    Date: Saturday 8/24

    Meet spot:

    Circle K @ 5pm

    1113 W Us Hwy 60
    Superior, AZ 85173
    United States

    Trail head:

    33.29816° N, 111.05950° W

Estimating it taking about 5hrs (possibly less‍♂️)

I have never done the trail but it is a red trail about 11 miles long expected to take 5hrs.

Google Pics attached of the trail

My onX app doesn’t show this trail but here is a screen shot from another app if you wish to route it.

All welcome but be mindful this isn’t likely isn’t a beginner trail. Skids, sliders, bumpers etc probably reccomended but who knowsIMG_3445.jpg IMG_3448.jpg

    @drtfabrication very tempting...

@05tacomabro didn't we do that trail years ago? Going through my photos and locations I swear we ran that. I know for sure a section of it is where I blew a CV a few years ago. I think it was that top photo honestly..

1/2 inch hail at Chandler/40th ... 1/4 inch hail in Tempe/Scottsdale. A wall at Warner/48th fell partly into the street because a tree fell on the wall.

    Welcome to the desert! :tumbleweed:

Our new house has a sealed garage floor that the PO never bothered to clean once it seems like. I'm just getting started, but boy oh boy, I want to get this shit so clean I can eat off of it.

Devil's Canyon is in that same area and is on my radar for when it's cooler later this year. I'd rather do trails in the day to see the scenery also.

Yep, My wife and I have done Devils Canyon twice over the years. Made it through the rough section the first time and found an amazing camp spot next to a creek deep back in there.. only one way in and out due to the Mines. The 2nd time we tried to go out there and camp again.. the obstacle changed a bit and got a little rougher. That's when I blew my CV..

Camp from back in December of 2017..

    IMG_20171202_172517.jpg

Section that blew the CV in 2020(have video actually too.. lol)

Awesome! Do you happen to have a location of that camp spot? Could you send a PM with it if you do?

I'd like to start planning out the winter wheeling trips and update my "Upcomming Trips" thread.

If you guys join hardline yotas on Facebook I post trips/trail runs on there. Definetly going to do some day wheeling and overnight trips once the weather allows. My truck gets hot so it’s night run season for me. Plus night runs are where the shenanigans happen:D

Yeah I'll send it. It's passed that gate keeper.. haven't been back to that spot since 2017. Definitely down to try it again tho and camp out. It's one of favorites.

    .... Don't have Bookface.

This used to be THE platform for all that.. now it's al IG and Facebook "groups"...

Me (very much delighting in my own stupidity) trying to layer shipping blankets on the front of the Taco while getting absolutely pelted with hail and rain.

I was chatting with another member on here about this the other day.

I get avoiding Facebook for the social media aspect of it (and it has become an ad/clickbait-ridden cesspool even more than it was) but it is the place to sell stuff locally these days.

My boss combs yard sales to sell stuff on ebay, typically. But if he wants to move something locally, he uses Facebook. Craigslist has taken a complete dive in the last few years.

So even if its with a special email and no profile picture (and the bare minimum of info) I encourage peeps to get on that in case you ever want to buy/sell stuff locally.
