This weekends pink, ruby, and white guava. A couple plantains left from harvested bunch. A soursop too.

A new week of dragonfruit flowers. They'll be ready in about 5 weeks. Have a few to harvest this week from same plant.

TY for the info, that Bush had a good year, the berries were delicious! If you notice it has that single woody stem and all the upper growth is from that, so it's finally nice to see a new shute coming up.

Blueberries LOVE acidic soil. Extra acidity will spur new growth. Save your used coffee grounds and add them to the soil. We use pine bark mulch around the fruit trees, blueberries and blackberries (takes longer to breakdown and adds acidity to soil). We move the bark back, dump the coffee grounds on top of the soil and move mulch back. Rains carry nutrients from the coffee down to the roots.
I have a quart plastic container from Chinese take out soup next to the coffee maker. Takes me 1 week to fill it up.

PS we use these spikes for the bushes and trees. 2x a year.

Oak sawdust works well as blueberry bush fertilizer as well.

We got 148# of peaches off the first (early ) tree. The later tree is ripening fruit now. Pick it the first week of Sept.

The first picking, It was 11 of those cardboard flats all told.

    They are SO GOOD!

Had slices on french bread rounds grilled with cheese and a sprig of basil for supper tonight.
We have put up enough canned in syrup, and have 3 gallon bags of dried. The kids and grand kids love those! Fresh Fruit every morning and for mid day snacking.. Wish it could last all year round.

Preserves are the FIRST thing we make with the ripe drops. Often , when picking one fruit, the ones nearby fall and get damaged.

Damaged peaches go right into the pot to boil a bit/
These particular peaches (Reliance) Are free stone, and slip the skins easily when tree ripened.

Harvested a small Apple Banana bunch today.

    IMG_2996.jpg

This is our Lola Avocado tree, it was planted 7 years ago and is grafted. Our first fruit was last year. This year there's about a dozen. They're huge, about 2-3 lbs each. Not too much longer to start harvesting.
