Good morning PA. getting ready to run the wife and some stuff up to our church. We are having our annual rummage sale. I don't stay, as I get tooo antsy just standing there for hours.

 

Morning Pa. Oldest Granddaughter stopping in today. We are picking the honey crisp tree. First time Addie ever helped. Small branch down low almost to the ground, I showed her on video call last night. Told her this is your branch to pick. She got all excited jumping around! Going to be a great day. Happy Saturday all!

 

Make sure you get your fiancee to make a pie out if those apples. The ones I made from your tree were excellent!

 

Thanks Adam. I plan on peeling and slicing one of Addie's apples she picks for her to eat. Teaching her we eat what we grow. Pappy's lessons and memories!

 

I have zero plans today and working on the accord isn't one of them. Might clean the garage out again though. If I feel up to it. Brutal work week. Fell twice my right ankle is still sore. I bribed the young boy that worked with me yesterday if I buy him lunch he does the last 6 houses. And worked out flawlessly for me.

My older brother and his wife are coming to visit my mother, the first time since she arrived about 5 weeks ago. Spent the morning cleaning the house solo, since my wife is at our church rummage sale. Vacuuming the entire house and cleaning the bathrooms in a few hours is tiring work for an old, overweight guy.

 

So me not working on the accord went out the window. But didn't feel like replacing the gas tank too burnt out for that. So instead of gas leaking on the exhaust I just cut that fucker off. Now it's a straight piped j series. Threw the wheels back on it and took it for a ride. No check engine or abs lights ran smoothish doesn't seem to like 5th gear very much but who cares. I'll be driving this to work for now on to save miles on my truck.


To be fair it was majorly neglected by the previous owner. I was the dumbass that bought it now I'll run this fucker to the ground. It has 207k mi on it.

 

There also is some type of electrical short where everytime I turn it off and turn it back on it resets the trip meter and time. I'm no electrical wiz so I could care less trying to figure that out. It has a new battery and Alternator. So that can't be the issue.
Also has no ac. But since it's straight piped and stops after the front seats I'll be keeping the windows open so I don't die from fumes.

 

Evening PA

In other news, did a little tinkering and pretty much kinda found out my old 2001 vintage Burnham oil boiler is pretty much shot. Firebox lining deteriorated and has started getting into the back wall itself. Not how I imagined I'd be spending $10,000, or how the Hell I'm going to pay for it, but here we are.

It's been a pretty lazy and quiet Saturday for me. After getting the accord back on the road haven't done much of anything. Just hanging out with the pups.

 

Nice to see the hooptie out! Keep them miles off the taco.
Did some wire skinning last night, went to the scrap yd today. Prices holding steady.
