I need to send my son, who is attending UT, looking for some. I will try to get him to hit up the distillery.

    Where did you find it?

Funny how that makes me want them even more! I think most of us on here are like that.

Ohh well. There are plenty of other bottles out there to chase.

I’ve waited on a couple of bottles and I won’t say I was disappointed but instead say maybe my expectations have been too high?

This typically holds true with most things in life.

Not knowing what to get I went with the coolest picture on the bottle. This was a clear winner.

These other 2 were finished last week and were just chilling in a back corner.

Went to a buddy's house for a celebration of life last night. He has 4 shelves of bourbon going the width of his garage, plus a few dozen bottles on the countertop. The Stagg Sr. was scored at a grocery store 3 years ago for $69.99.... to this day none of us know why the store manager offered his employee discount on the 1 & only bottle they received for the year.

I got home at 4am and my toddler had me up at 6am. I'm feeling my age today :help:

BK for Saturday night. This bottle grew on me over time. First few pours I thought meh…but I’ve actually come to enjoy this one.

    Cheers all!

Some people have liked it ok. For me, it’s one of the three worst whiskies I’ve ever had.

Generally of the three the wheated has reviewed much better than the other two.

I’m enjoying it so far. I’ve done one other bourye before this.

I enjoyed the Obtainium more. I get a stronger “mint” kick in the Knob Creek. Not off putting, just more noticeable. Still an enjoyable pour.
I’m always on the lookout for a High West bourye.

Reviews are really hard for me to interpret. One reviewer swears up and down it’s great; another, says it sucks donkey balls. Which is it?

I’ve tried to stick with one or two review site because those folks usually day drink and compare notes before one of them writes the review :) If I see something I might like, I check their review then compare what I think to the review. I’m not quite 100% but once you understand how the reviewer tastes, it helps. Not perfect but at least its something.
