So these are the bikes I have my eye on. They are in order of interest. Yes the prices seem high and that does suck but for the right clean non abused taken care of example it’s worth it to me.

Ditto on the riding alone. The 2 guys I would ride with occasionally moved away. So I’m back to talking and singing to myself.

To be honest I like just riding alone. That way I can ride as fast or as slow as I want. If I want to pass a car I can and if I don’t well there is no pressure to do it. It has made me a better rider of my own ride. I rode alone for years when I was younger then met a group of guys and rode with them. When I first met them they were talking a big game about how fast they were bla bla bla. Well I had nothing to compare so ai kept my mouth shut. Then we went on a ride and I just flat out smoked them all. I am not fast just ride smooth and not above what I know I can do. They were all impressed and I was not. lol anyway had three different guys crash behind me trying to keep up on different occasions so I just stopped riding with groups. No stress just my own ride. If I want to go balls out it’s a track day for me where I get humbled pretty quick.

Oh ya pretty quick update,,, still have not smoked pot and have been clean since end of March. Have had zero anxiety and my doc said I could stop taking my alprazolam (Zanax) and I have not for about 1.5 months with no problems. It was all the weed that would cause my anxiety I am convinced.

I always ride alone, even when there is someone on back.

It's not like any real time decisions are going to be made by someone else.

I mostly ride alone also, it's just more enjoyable not having to think about others. I do occasionally ride with a couple of friends but not very often. If I want to go for a ride I just go. I'm pretty laid back and I just like to cruise at my own pace.

I have very little time to ride, trying to organize with someone else is impossible, especially cause my riding buddy had a kid and works opposite hours. In fact he has so little time for anything he just gave me his bike. It was so much easier in my 20s

Right! Most of the time my rides are spontaneous. No time to make plans. I don’t live that way. If I feel like riding I do. If I don’t then I don’t. My wife makes plans and writes it on the calendar. Me? The only thing planned is golf and doc or dental appointments. lol everything else is spontaneous.

Ha! And the only reason there’s doc/dental appts is cause the wife makes them.:ballchain:

I have been a bit quiet on here as far as happenings.

TBH just been busy with work at my new job the last 3-4 weeks and not much exciting has happened in the moto realm as I have some great reliable bikes that I just hop on and go for either standard around town errand running (XT225) or a typical PCH head clearing (super tenere) cool down loop that has been documented here by me a few times. The views at the beach in the last few weeks with the heat have been *chefs kiss* top tier.

I did decide to do some XT225 maintenance today though. A while back (in one of my previous posts) I went through and replaced the swing arm bushings, lower shock bushing, clocked the rest of the bushings 90* from their current spot and cleaned/greased everything.

Well when I did this I noticed that the chain slider that wraps the swingarm was toast, super brittle and cracked in multiple spots.

Unfortunately there are NO aftermarket options from your typical vendors who do chain sliders/chain guides so you are stuck with a 70+$ oem one. At the time I went Eff this and put the old cracked one back on and tried to glue the cracks and use double sided sticky tape to keep things solid.

This lasted for the last 750mi, but alas it was time. Aliexpress to the rescue. 15$ later a nice harder black plastic replacement showed up that fit spot on. Unfortunatly had to pull the whole swing arm off to remove and replace.

A buddy of mine was in town last weekend and I threw him the keys to the xt225, i hopped on the super tenere and we went to the local watering hole. He was like damnit this is a fun lil bike and its SO SMOOTH for a single.

Good to knot the Super T is still getting ridden! I've been buried in work, helping a buddy, or sabotaged by weather. My poor bikes just sit there... mocking me for not riding them. :(
